In the end, fans are not easily fooled. For all the Saudi Arabian billions lavished on the LIV roster, there is no disguising that the rebel tour remains a soulless enterprise, a grotesque cash-grab whose only obvious distinctions are loud music and an entitlement to play in shorts.

No. Not even close. The author of that article is Oliver Brown. His bias has nothing to do with the golf, but everything to do with his well recorded hatred of all things Saudi Arabia.

It’s not a debate.
You may be right in this instance, but you use this line way too much. Usually it immediately follows some highly speculative post of yours.

fantastic “journalism”
and yet for all your criticism, the editorial is still completely spot on and accurate.
You guys are really defensive.

I still can't believe Jay has a job. It wasn't until the LIV threat materialized that miraculously all of that money appeared. There's only two explanations: he was either hiding that money from the players or, more likely, he was too lazy all those years to hustle on the players' behalf and get that purse money.
It's been well reported that they had to dip into their reserves to get this extra money. Then, when it was clear that this was not sustainable, they got SSG to invest. They've been losing long-time sponsors because of the purse increases.

Wrong. It was just another in a long series of articles by this journalist attacking all things Saudi. He used every trite cliche he could think of. It wasn’t about the golf. You were duped.
As for defensive…of the two of us only one is whining. I like the LIV because it is more golf. I also like the PGA. You posted an article by a “journalist” having a completely Saudi fueled meltdown and then you say WE are defensive?

Nothing about LIV is fascinating. The teams are dumb, nobody cares about teams in golf unless it’s Ryder or Presidents cup. No cuts, no drama, no incentive to watch. Shot gun starts and champagne baths, how original. Screaming Goats look like they just went 17-0 and won the Super Bowl. It’s corny as hell.
