Lots of Ping G430 woods in play at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am

One interesting note is Matt Fitzpatrick is playing Ping Woods, I230 irons, Vokey Wedges and a Bettenardi Tour prototype.
Byson Chambo has a TaylorMade Stealth 2 driver in play in Europe, his chiily relationship with Cobra must be still going on. he is also using Artisan wedges.
Some other Non Ping Staff guys using the 430 driver

Interesting.. Good sign I guess. I'm hitting up a Ping demo day next Friday.. really wanting to hit the i230's to see if it's time to switch from the PXG's..
Also looking to hit the G430 3W SFT since it's a little higher lofted than a normal 3 and dropped my Stealth 5w

Well the only thing new is the G430 for Fitzpatrick. He’s been playing Ping irons and 3 wood for years along with vokey wedges. And a few years ago he said the only contracted club in his bag was hi Betti and wouldn’t putt with anything else.

I highly suggest trying the Titleist 16.5 four wood too. I put one in the bag and dropped the 3&5 woods.
Depending on the course, I will add a 7 wood or a hybrid if needed.

I will.. I've got a TSR 7w already and loving it.. I'll definitely be giving the 16.5 a shot as well
