I still don’t see it - at least not the level that they were claiming. I realize it’s not a great piece of property but they were claiming it to be one of the best places in the south once completed. Not from the pics that I have seen

Call me crazy, but I usually judge how a renovation turned out when it’s completed, and also giving it a year or two to work out the kinks. Y’all are saying it doesn’t live up to the hype and it’s not even finished! Man, tough crowd.

I was going to say. I drive by this Reno everyday and was wondering if I missed it being completed.

Whether you like it or not, those baws are hauling arse on it. It’s impressive to see.

That’s where my opinion came from, I’ve been out the at least 20 times since it started in January. The scope of work and the speed and efficiency have been awesome. The greens complexes alone will make this course like no other around. Will it be Augusta, no but it will be a very unique place to play!

I played it about 10 years ago, place had a cool vibe but not much Raynor left, very excited to see how this turns out!

Hope this is a joke. I agree with the other guys that your full of shite on here with bad takes. Excited to play MCC when the reno's completed.. bringing it back to the Raynor design will be awesome.

Green complexes look cool but that’s gonna be a bear to maintain. What are the dues out there? They’re about to double.

This project is nothing but good for golf in the New Orleans metro.

It’s a private club. I guess it’s good for the few members but how is it good for golf in the New Orleans metro?

I would say that it's good because with the Raynor name associated with MCC and a lot of interest in the golden age architects and seeing a restoration will have golf course enthusiasts talking about it. There's no golf course close to our area that was designed by one of the golden age guys. I'm an architecture geek and I really enjoyed playing it a couple of years ago and look forward to playing again.

*also about 10 Tito's in right now.

Pics from Marchand look great. Would love to play it. Somebody hook me up. Not expecting Shoreacres or Fisher's Island.
