Phil is actually campaigning for a better deal for PGA golfers. In the world of youtube, there is lots of $ to be had if the players could access video of their own swings/shots but they don't so they can't.

NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, tennis don’t have that either. Phil has made hundreds of millions ($800) and is bitter because it could have been more. If that’s his fight he’s not fighting for the little guy because nobody would pay for their videos, photos or media rights, etc.
PGA would have been just fine without Phil. Phil lived a fairy tale life because of PGA tour and nobody would have ever heard of him without them. He repays them by advocating for a new league?
We’ll see if he complains about those rights at Augusta National since they also keep those media rights.

Guy I used to take from was at one time the head rules official for the USGA so he's been around Phil a lot. Told me Phil is complete a-hole and fake as can be. His nickname on tour is Phony Phil. And said his former cadie Bones is a POS.
