It’s a long one but wow, if we can get even SOMETHING like the format he was lying out, watching golf will be a much better experience.

I listen to NLU weekly, but they are the only people I ever hear mentioning the PGL. I'm not saying it's not a thing, but I find it weird that it's never mentioned anywhere else.

Bc most of the other places you probably consume golf are partnered with the PGA Tour.
I thought it was good, but they could have spent 2 hours just on the format. Relagation of three or four teams in soccer is great. But a few players being related a year for golf doesn't really allow for the turnover necessary, imo

I still didn't follow how the team format would work.
And I don't love the idea of a shotgun start with all groups on the course at the same time. Courses are designed for a certain flow throughout the round and this would disrupt that.

Just don’t ever see this or any other league becoming a thing.

players teeing off from #1 and #10 is a pretty common thing on the pga tour, shotgun start isn't much different than that.

If it is the best golfers, as long as the product isn't terrible, people will watch.
I'd love a system where 12 owners control teams and sign guys off the PGA Tour for contracts like other sports. You'd sign a guy to a 4 year deal. If he does bad, he gets cut but gets paid and then goes back to the PGA Tour. You could have a Yankees style team where they pay big money for aging players that draw in fans, I.e., Rickie and Phil. That would be fun to me.

That doesn't really make sense. There's no home course. So, Rickie and Phil will draw fans for the whole league.
I'm still confused on why anyone will care about the teams, but I've never watched F1, and that clearly works there. So, I guess it could work.

Maybe you'd make it up in gear sales. Team whatever is green and gold and you could sell officials team gear.
