It just doesn't seem to be gaining any traction with players still competitive on the Tour

It's pretty clear that guy's like DJ and Adam Scott among others had one foot out the door until Phil started all the backlash with his horribly bad comments.

That, and the Tour subsequently coming out and saying any players leaving would be banned for life.

The Tour allowed releases for the Saudi Open, and there were plenty of guys that made the trip. I don’t think the players care that the money is being funded from a barbaric society.

And look how bad that was for the field at Pebble….

The Tour is playing their only hand

Because the Saudi International is one event, and they have to play Pebble in the future. This is viewed as the beginning of another tour

There are other tours out there. So, no they are preventing them from playing golf.

Adam Scott as much and came out and said it more than once and every inside report said DJ was interested, but ok, I'll take your word for it

The Saudis are doing this to create goodwill and change their image, not make a profit. LIV is just the next foray.

Well then they are idiots. Them buying up teams and getting involved in sports only makes me hate them more. Think they can just go around buying things with all that oil money while gouging us at the pump?

I won't be watching the Saudi League and any player that goes on it goes on the hate list. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Players and their sponsors should remember that. It's an image issue.

They most certainly can when the president of the USA is a potato.

Well, I was responding how they trying to buy goodwill when in reality they're really breeding more animosity.

Buying goodwill by trying to take down one of our institutions in the PGA. Not sure how that will work positively for them. I just hate them more now.

That’s liberal mindset, they don’t care about goodwill they care about fricking control. They hate the western cultures.

They gonna catch major lawsuits for this. They letting players play on European tour. What's the difference? The difference is now they will be playing tourneys in the US. Golfers are independent contractors so they should be allowed to play wherever they want. What's gonna happen is either. let anybody play wherever to they want or the PGA is gonna have to employ all the golfers for their tour.

Norman from his presser yesterday, he must post on the OT.

quote:

Norman would later state, when asked about Saudi Arabia’s discrimination against the LGBTQ community, that “I’m not sure whether I even have any gay friends, to be honest with you.”

It's amazing how that was overlooked when Obama was in charge.

Hate them or not, you use many many products based on oil drilled from their wells, and enrich them to allow this investment

Or how about this one, when asked about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi by the Saudi government

quote:

“We’ve all made mistakes and you just want to learn from those mistakes and how you can correct them going forward.”
