Also, it's looking like what I said earlier in this thread is true.. more and more posts people picking up a club to try because of price..

Ordered hybrid on Monday, shipped today. That's impressive to me, especially since I had them cut the shaft. Half inch for my short arse

I agree.
I remember a few years ago when Callaway used their proprietary shafts in their woods, I was friends with a Callaway Rep who told that it cost the company less than 40 bucks to make a driver ( clubhead, shaft and grip).
Of course we know that each club line had a R&D cost and labor cost assigned to it.
At my buddies shop we cut open a TM Sims driver head to see how it was made. It really didn't look like much at all and it was dirty inside. Kind of disappointing to be honest.
If I can remember I will take a picture and post it.

I have the 0311XF Hybrid with the MMT shaft and I love it.
One of the few hybrids that I don't hook.

That is almost exactly the Ping Story in the 90's
Ping was tyrannical with their accounts.
They micro managed everything.
They had mystery shoppers tracking serial numbers and unannounced audits.
If a account violated a Ping rule their account was closed and there was no coming back.

The PXG commercials annoy me . . . Some of the players paid to endorse the clubs annoy me . . . But I’ll be damned if the deep discounts didn’t get me to spend $808 on a set of 0311 Gen 4 irons with MMT graphite shafts today.
I was getting a new set to try graphite shafts and after shopping several options, the discounted PXG’s were a better price than most of the other OEMs.
That being said, i suspect that the commercials will still annoy me.

Matter of opinion I guess.
PXG wasn't happy with accounts like Club Champion and thier builds, so they made a business decision.
The direct you consumer is a direction for a lot if companies now.
When you get a 70 day no questions ask refund policy there is no downside for the consumer.
PXG top line in the the Gen 5 at 349.00 a iron.
The best thing is that as a consumer you can bundle their equipment to build a complete bag.
