That's fair. Look if I was playing professionally and had access to all of these clubs and a fitter at all times, I'd probably be more willing to try "player cavity backs". I just don't play enough to make a switch. When I play, I want something familiar, even if it's a blade.

And in response to another post, I can attest Jkilroy has more than enough speed to play an MP33 jf he wants to play them. Number 1 they are clubs from 2002 with an intentionally higher center of gravity (designed for lower launch). Number 2) Nugget made an assumption off a one off swing that JK might have very well been swinging at 70% (another thing that results in lower launch and land angle)

LOwer CG would produce higher launch and spin. MP33's probably play off a 47* PW so weaker loftes would create higher ball flights. Shaft choice can determine ball flight as well. X100 have a Low ball flight as does C-Taper 130X.

These have DG S200s in them.

Took them back to the sim today and had a decent session. According to trackman I don’t have any issues sticking greens with 7 through P. The pic in my earlier post was a 7 iron.

I’ll probably take them out to the course a time or two but I don’t currently plan for these to be my gamers. They will be a practice tool most likely.

Stock PW for MP33s is 48 degrees.

Ball flight only matters if you don't have appropriate spin. High ball flight in windy conditions without the ability to lower it sux. Mid to low ball flight that skips once and checks is more desirable to me. It is a luxury to be able to hit high soaring shots into very firm green though.

M13s are a great example of a blended set. The weighting, composition, and look are so clean. Not even going to try hitting them. Can’t afford them, so no reason to get all worked up. ??

Yeah they’re definitely on the pricey end. The 4-PW i was quoted 1500ish. But I probably won’t even order a set with a 4i so that should cut it down a hair. And I figured I’ll sell my i230s and make up more of the difference.. But yeah if you don’t have any intentions don’t hit them. Because you’d definitely want them afterwards.

Personally I play blades because I’m a stubborn, dumb SOB.

I just typo'd. The MP 33's have a high center of gravity. Higher than the MP 32's, which are a bit more user friendly.
