Stewart Cink. Can you change caddies mid tourney?

Just saw him birdie to go 2-under. His wife is on the bag. Hell maybe she is awesome and loves it? But if this was just a couples event where they said "hey it will be fun. just two days. Love England." But then he gets into contention or at least into a serious payday. He tightens up, wife tightens up. The players he pairs with get more and more serious.
Has a player ever done this and called his regular caddie for Sunday or after they made the cut?
Just curious. And another question for all of you. If you can imagine yourself in a tournament this important? Even important in your own mind, like a club championship or city tourney? Would you want the wife on the bag?

Is she not his regular caddie?
ETA: I was thinking of Lee Westwood. Looks like it’s still relatively new for Cink. Looks like he’s had a hard time finding a replacement since his son quit caddying last fall LINK
