average score needed to Monday qualify on the Korn Ferry Tour is around 63.57”
If you’re not having a great day, not gonna happen.

quote:How many times have you shot 9 under in tournament conditions on a tournament caliber course. 7 under if it’s a par 70.

You’d have to do it every week if that average is correct to qualify if you aren’t exempt for the tournament.
I looked at the last tournament, the Bahamas Classic which is a par 70. I counted 9 rounds total in the tournament under 64. 2 guys did it twice, neither won.

The Monday qualifying thing is just tough.
“ Most Korn Ferry Tour events offer eight spots via an 18-hole qualifying event, which typically occurs on Monday of tournament week and is often contested across two courses pending field size. If there is a tie for qualifying spots, a sudden-death playoff will determine which players advance into the tournament field.
As of 2023, there have been 26 Monday qualifiers to win on the Korn Ferry Tour, most recently Spencer Levin at the 2023 Veritex Bank Championship.”

He should try. At the Monday Q yesterday for the Farmers, -3 got you into a playoff and -4 got you in (winner at -5).

I disagree. I've played Augusta 4 times and I think it is harder than tournament rounds. Why, because the pin positions are not in known 'gather positions' like they are on many tournament rounds. Holes like 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 13, 16, 17 and 18. I never saw those 'gathering' hole placements. The players know where the pins will be and practice hard on each of the known positions and that is a game changer imo. Speed was close enough to tournament speed everytime I played. Two rounds pre renovation, and two rounds post renovation. The course is 5 shots hard post renovation.
Playing more random pin positions on those greens makes them the hardest greens to read I've ever played, and I was a + handicap every time I played there. Just a different take from some experience.

Have you played Peachtree? Fun course but pretty gettable.
If so, how does it compare?
