I’ve always been in the camp of a still lower body with the putter stroke coming from your shoulders and arms. Basically keep it simple, one motion back and forward

Recently when practicing I’ve noticed I seem to get a more consistent roll on my target line when I have just a tiny hip turn as my putter goes forward but I’m not sure I want to try it on the course.

I am a straight back and straight forward putter no U in my stroke

What do you do with your hips when putting?

You should use this guy's putting stance for optimal putting performance LINK

I usually ask "do you breath in or out when you putt?"...

right before they address the putt...

See that would have the opposite effect than intended on me. You would get me thinking about something other than my putting stroke and second guessing my line which would be a great thing

Form triangle between the 2 shoulders and hands. Then rock the triangle back and through. I like to feel like I’m putting with my shoulders and the rest just stays still and falls into place

Nothing from the bellybutton down should move in the putting stroke

Ever

I don't move my feet or legs at all but I do try to shift weight slightly my front side at the end of my back swing to make sure I accelerate. Similar to how I'd hit a wedge but much more subtle and quiet.

You’ve already way over thought this. It doesn’t matter what anybody answers

Seems like a good way to get the ball started on a bad line

I try not to move the lower body. I try to keep my butt still.

I can see the line better with a slightly open stance.

I'm a Brandt Snedeker type of putter.

Short backswing and pop thru the ball.

Just wanted to throw a shoutout to Delacroix for his putting tip. I’ve used it for 3 rounds now with great results, which is 2 1/2 rounds more than my swing thoughts usually last.

one of the first pieces of putting advice I heard was never pull the putter more than 3 ball lengths back. And close your left eye. (If you are left handed, close your right eye). I don't do that part anymore, but for those beginners, or average weekend hackers that have never been strong putters, it's a training exercise that might help.
