Assuming mickelsons career is over or never wins again. Both have 6 majors . I watched a lot of Phil’s careeer but did not see much of nicks. What made Faldo such a great player during his era?

Faldo was an unlikable robot. Basically exact opposite of Philly Phil.
I'd take Mickelson's career for obvious monetary reasons

Although one could argue the unlikable part.

Phil has 45 ish wins on the PGA tour. Faldo 9, which includes his 6 majors. The Euro tour was closer in status to the pga during his day, but even there, he doesn’t have as many wins as Phil does. Faldo’s only advantage is the Open at St Andrew’s in my opinion

He was also #1 in the world for quite a while.

Phil and not even close.
Flado won during a time that hitting the middle of the green every time was the strategie..
He wasn't a pin hunter like Phil and today's players.

Phil, and it's not close.
The only advantage Faldo has in the comparison is World No. 1. And that is more a product of Phil playing in the same era as the most dominant golfer of all time. It makes Phil's 6 majors more impressive than Faldo's in my view.

It's Phil but the gap is probably closer than we realize.

Faldo's majors are much better and Phil was a choke artist

Lol. You said “Faldo's majors are much better”. Maybe you could start by supporting that claim. Or not, I actually don’t care.

I wonder how much he has left?

My own opinion is Faldo because he spent over a year total at NO 1 but a better question is which had the better nickname for a caddie? Fanny and Bones. Which reminds me of Johnny Long Socks another great caddie nickname
