Strengthen your knees.

Left knee pain is inside but comes and goes. Worse pain is when I get up sitting down. Any thoughts?

Try turmeric and collagen protein.

I love it when these types of topics start on the OT and get migrated over the H&F. Even if no one had said anything, you could tell that's what happened, just by who replied and what they said. Never change TD OT Lounge!

Might be a medial meniscus problem.
A small tear can “catch” occasionally when bending the knee, especially when it’s bearing weight when squatting up or down.
I have had a similar catch for 6-7 years, about 4 times a year. Got an MRI done Tuesday, and a partial tear in the meniscus was present. What freaked me out for a sec was the tech told me my quad was "mostly attached," and then clarified to say there was some quad "fraying" likely due to the lack of support from the meniscus. I presume my doc is going to suggest surgery.
Deadlifts caused no pain, squatting heavy could sometimes be irritating, but the pronounced "catch" seemed to always involve going down stairs.
