Man is the marketing around protein kicked into high gear. Consistently shocked by foods labeled as high protein versions of X, then you check the label it’s like a 1:20 g protein to calorie ratio or worse.

yep they are just adding that label to things already on the market, it’s sad

I saw hungry man tv dinners being advertised as ‘high protein’

Yeah. I had to show my wife this recently as she just started buying things labeled "high protein" without understanding calorie to protein ratio.
People mistake "foods with protein" as "high protein foods"

It's incredibly annoying.
"14g protein!"
400 calorie burrito

I find it hilarious especially when there are so many actually high protein good foods that have to put the label "not a low calorie food"
So an 8g protein 250 calorie sugar bomb bar can say "high protein" yet a grass fed beef stick with 12g protein and 100 calories isn't a "low calorie food"
Labeling is broken. I use the 1g/10 calorie ratio to evaluate

Same....
Wife: "Oh, look. This yogurt shake is good. It has 14g protein."
Me: Checks label, "Yes.. .and it is 300 calories. This one has 10 grams of protein and is 100 calories. You could drink 3 of these, get 30 grams of protein and equal calories to the one your'e looking at."
Ratios folks.. it's pretty basic math.

Food should have a label similar to fertilizer’s N-P-K.
Protein-Carbs-Fat. That way instead of just looking at the absolute amount of one component in isolation, you can see it relative to other macros.
