Poor track record on reliability. Even worse on customer service.

I'd say Speed Queen is number one, followed closely by the Maytag Commercial.

Replaced my Samsung units with speed Queen TC5 about three months ago. Best decision ever. They wash faster and the clothes is cleaner. Samsung were more expensive and lasted about 5 yrs

ETA: speed Queen won’t win a beauty contest

Consumer reports Reliability and customer satisfaction surveys. Based on those I would say Speed Queen is your best option.

Dryer

Washer

Old ones from the classified ads or Speed Queen.

Weird how everyone ranks LG high. Maybe younger people are just used to shitty appliances that have to be replaced every 5 years?

When we moved into our current house we bought a LG dishwasher, fridge and washer and dryer and they've all been crap. Only the fridge remains after 6-7 years and I'm ready to toss it too. The parts are expensive too and a lot of people won't service them.

If you can find a 20 or 25 year whirlpool grab ‘em. Parts are plentiful and cheap. A service man came to work on my fridge. As he was walking out he pointed to the washer and dryer and said “don’t ever get rid of those, they are more reliable than anything sold today” He’s right. I’ve replaced exactly 3 parts in all that time. We bought them new. No electronics, all mechanical parts.
