Digging up an old DirectTV dish in the ground

getting ready to list my home and have a direct tv dish in the ground that I want to dig up. How big of a job is this? It’s been a few years since it was installed.

is the post in concrete and if it is how big is the pad?
if it's not, use an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to take it off as close to the ground as possible and then grind it down flush
or if you have access to a Bobcat you might be able to pull it with that

I want to say they shot like what looked to be insulation into the ground that hardened. I’m horrible with handy work so I have no idea what it’s called or how how hard it is to remove.

Cut it close to the ground as possible. Use a sledge to beat it down after

Not to sound like an idiot but what do you mean by this?

Use a band saw to cut post. Cut wires. Pound the stub of the post into the ground with the sledgehammer

Just pay a handy man a couple hundred bucks to do it.

If you bump into it with your riding mower it will fall over. Mine did
Push it back and forth a few times and pull it out of the ground.

Can I ask what's the big deal about having the dish? Maybe a perspective buyer wants DTV and needs a dish. Evidently the installer didn't have line of sight to put in on the roof like most installs.

I have removed 2 of them from my yard over the years.
Both were in concrete. Just dug them up. Cut the pole a bit above the concrete with a hacksaw. Tossed the remains into the garbage bin.
A bit of sweat and an hour or 2.

Is whatever holding it under the grass? Cut that shite with an angle grinder with a cutting wheel and cover it. Probably 5 minutes of work.

They typically have a 2 foot diameter of concrete just below the dirt that takes a backhoe to handle once you get it out of the ground.
I’d cut the post off at the ground level and forget about it. The easiest way to do that is find a friend with a cutting torch. Folks that deal in scrap iron always have a cutting torch and will haul it away too.

Just pulled mine up a few months ago. It was filled with foam around the post. Used a clamp, 4x4 block and a floor jack. 5 mins it was gone.

Aesthetics?
You would be talking about a small percentage of potential buyers that may want a dish. Also, most networks that previously offered a dish, now provide the same exact service through a streaming service. And some actually scrapped offering dish services for new accounts.
