But there’s substantial cooling taking place when water is fresh and cool from the hose or has ice or the aforementioned frozen ice jugs inside. Straight up cold air comes out. It’s cold and it’s measurable.
Thats not evaporative cooling, SMH. With ice, depending on your setup, you are cooling via convection. Evaporative "swamp" coolers do not work in the temperatures you claimed, as seen on the chart. You could not have achieved the temperature drop you stated via evaporative cooling, so you added ice. Great, but now you might as well buy an airplane chiller (ice chest with fan).
You can keep giving me grief, but the physics don't lie.

Go the frick away. I don’t use ice , dipshit. I even explained it all in post 1 and post 4.
I never proclaimed anything about evaporative cooling. You did. You called me a liar and said I was defying physics and posting fake number readings. No one was debating evaporative cooling but yourself. And you also falsely claim we’re all soaking wet from these coolers.
I’m not sure if you were ever assaulted or molested by one of these machines, and I don’t care.
Please go away. You spewed your bullshite and still can’t shut up. Now you change your talking points. Go away and bring your black pearl knowledge to another thread.

It's almost like you forgot your first post was a "testimonial" to evaporative/swamp coolers.
Sorry to cut in to your commission, Mr Swamp-cooler-salesman, but your product sucks and doesn't work worth a shite in the south. Go sell it elsewhere.

To all my fellow valued Home and Garden board members:
Here are current accurate screen shots of outdoor and the water and cooler air flow temps.
You guys in the know actually know how much cooler the air would be from a frozen jug of water. I didn’t use ice or a frozen jug.
This was water filled into the tank directly from my hose. There’s no other option for me other than filling it from the hose. But apparently that can be construed as deceitful.
I also measured water temp out of the hose for the fun of it and completion’s sake. It sort of bounced and fluctuated, but it seems the average water temp was about 78° or so.

It was too hot to sit on the back porch, i purchased the Hessaire 5,300 CFM Evaporative Cooler from home depot.
Hessaire
It has made a world of difference on the back porch watching the kids swim, I would effeminately buy it again and am glad i didn't go with a smaller version.

Why is the bottom right of that table not showing? Does evap cooling not work at 125 degrees and 25% humidity?

I just don't understand why you find the need to lie? You simply cannot get the temperature drop you're claiming. Sit in front of your wet fan if you wish, but stop misleading people. Bash me all you want, but "facts are stubborn things".
from one engineer, to i assume another engineer who is either still in college are just out, get out of the book theory world and get in the real world bud and stop acting like a know it all.
the real world has variables that aren't in your Fluids textbook.

My wife bought one. I hate it with all my being. It's an eyesore, contributes to clutter, loud and blows damp air on me. If that's what it takes for me to be outside, I'd rather just go back in.

Indeed. Like ice in the water of an evaporative cooler, ha. Wet bulb doesn't lie.

Is evaporative cooling supposed to be fun? I've been doing it wrong :/

At 91F, 41% RH, the wet bulb temp is 73F, so what you’re showing in this post is definitely possible. What you described earlier (midnight) is not possible, unless it was with cool, fresh water in the sump, before it had a chance to equilibrate to ambient temp.
Glad you like it. Maybe I’ll check one out.

Thank you for your services…
I don’t have a hygrometer or humidity sensor, so I’m just relying on what phone app shows. I have no idea how accurate or inaccurate that may be.
Thank you, sir
