Same bearings? Not even a little extra lube?
I’ve had the Intelliflow variable speed for 10 years plus however old it was when I got the house. No paint left, runs perfect, does require bearings every few years.

My pump only has one speed. Sorry I'm poor.
It runs 7:30pm to 7:30am so the aerators can cool the water down.
This is the way. Being poor doesn't mean you're stupid!

10:30am-7:30pm 2000 RPM's for the waterfall and fountains to look nice during the day
2:30am-6am 2200 RPM for cooling

The daylight doesn’t fight the chlorine if the pump isn’t running?

Sure. I choose not to run 24/7. Running at night gives the pool a larger stronger dose of chlorine overnight which is slowly depleted during the day. I’m sure it graphs like a bell curve. 3 years in and crystal clear water so far. Plus my pool hasn’t gotten touched 90 yet this year (in prairieville) thanks to my return jet sprinkler running overnight

I am not worried about the temperature. I am more concerned about creating enough velocity in the water to ensure all of my neighbor's crepe myrtle flowers end up in the skimmers.

Run your pump for 1 hour of 10° temp--so 90° temps call for 9 h0urs run time. That should get the flowers.
I have a Betta Bot that scoops flowers during the day, fyi.

Eh. I’m a skeptic.
The graph of chlorine over time is flatter running the SWG during the day. It goes higher if running at night. But if you run it enough to stay above some minimum Cl threshold, it’s gonna require the same run time either way.
Sunshine depletes, say, 4ppm worth of Cl a day. SWG running day or night adds enough Cl to account for 4 ppm over 6 hours of operating.
Running during the day may actually be conducive to a more stable Cl across a 24-hr period. But it helps cool the water off better if running at night.

Single speed pump runs from 8 AM to 8 pm daily.24,000 gallons. I run a Pump driven Polaris the same as the pool;however. I turn the Polaris off while swimming.
