We need some big def. tackles that are 300+ to balance out this year's recruiting.

Jones is the reason Miles will get fired. Saban understood, get every sec player in Louisiana and selecively go out of state. Miles doees not. Goes after every big dog and gets jilted at the alter, then tries to come back and schmooze La. kids he has pissed off ie kid forom Destrehan last year.

Yeah you maybe right! We need to take care of Louisiana first before we look around the country. We need some big linemen in this class.

I don't know what the perfect thing to do is. Would you neglect a 5 star caliber player from another state that says he is really interested in playing for LSU to keep a 3 star from LA? I doubt it. Remember this year we didn't have guys holding out and dragging us along. We had supremely talented guys who committed to LSU. Its a hard spot to be in I'm sure.

Lot of smoke to this Auburn thing. That's good, because if we land him and Whittaker this class meets all of our needs and more.

In this case though you're neglecting a top 250 player from your home state to take a guy from Alabama that didn't even have a page on Rivals or Scout until he committed to LSU.

Don't know...Arkansas has been on him for a while. I know that he word around the school was that Les was only there because of the loss of other recruits. If I had to guess..either Arkansas or LA Tech.

ETA: By "smoke", I mean a lot of Auburn insiders are reporting the guy has already made his decision and then a lot of people are talking about some facebook status of his.

Unless he changes his mind..and it does happen..look for the Hogs to get this one. I know Malzahn has offered a package deal with him and another player. But he will be a Hog.

Petrino offered the same package deal to the kid, and both involve the greyshirting of one of his friends.

Sounds like the kid didn't attend the camp that he was invited to. I don't think you can ignore this piece of information. It's probably a huge reason he has not been focused on.

Shirt and shorts>>>>>>>actual football to Miles. Good to know

ETA: You can save this if you want. Blackmon will never play for LSU while Jones will be an all conference player.

If Jones was serious about LSU do you think he would have skipped camp?

He went to a family reunion. That means he's not serious about LSU? The kid is a lifelong LSU fan and wanted to go to LSU. Miles seems to think he can slow roll LSU fans and they'll just come whenever he feels like offering. It cost LSU Sentimore last year. It will cost them Jones this year and will cost them more in the future.

It doesn't look like Jones is being slow played, it doesn't look like LSU is showing any interest at all.
