If we lose Pratt and can't get Richardson the coaches royally screwed the pooch on RBs this year.

Too many ifs in this statement...let the situation play itself out before passing judgment.

The point was you never pass on on elite level talent and that's exactly what Michael is.

I'd be willing to bet that LSU doesn't see Michael as the elite talent that you do. That's pretty obvious considering that we are recruiting other RBs while passing on Michael.

I know you guys didn't believe me when I said Pratt will not go to LSU, but I've heard it is official now. He has officially opened up recruiting and he will no longer consider LSU.

OSU is likely the front runner for his services. I doubt he goes to A&M given we have no room for mid-termers (85 schollie limit) and C-Mike is a better fit for us, unless Pratt wants to be an LB, which he doesn't

I mean come on...its bad enough if we lose Pratt but to have this prick come here and shove it our faces is a bit overboard.
As much as i hate losing Pratt we will probably replace him with someone that will fill a need on the team.
I havent jumped ship because of a few bad things, good news is just around the corner.

I agree...that a-hole needs to stay on his forum. There is something fishy going on, and it doesn't look good though. We might be out of the picture on this one.

Who have you heard it from besides the college station TV and his HS coach?

You guys are sensitive. I think tiger football will survive with the 4 5-stars you already have. I am not rubbing it in. He is not coming to A&M, thus there is nothing to rub in. I have been lurking around here and decided to pass a long some information. If you want to remain ignorant of what is going on with your recruits than be my guest and don't read my post.

If all this is true, not offering Michael might have been a huge mistake.

It was a huge mistake then, and now it really looks huge.

If Micheals best offer is from A&M, then he isn't that big time.
Get over it. Quit star gazing.

well, I can tell you that the Guidance Counselor at my high school sucked dick... I liked her, but she was terrible and student-athletes constantly an into trouble with this

I just think most of this has to be on the high school administrators to make sure these kids are on track to not have issues... they should know what is required and they are the ones who have the responsibilty of managing kids like Pratt who are in their care at their school. It is hard for me to fault LSU, but then again none of us know what exactly happened in Pratt's case

I've been saying it all along. The coaches are not impressed with Michael... other than the recruiting site it is very evident that no other coaches were impressed either aside from TAMU who is struggling for any talent to come to College Station

I have seen Michael and he is just solid to me, nothing special and not a lot of upside in my eyes... he has ok speed and very average size... he was good in high school but how much upside does he really have carrying the ball at a high level in the SEC?

I don't care if we lose Pratt or not as far as it goes with Michael... if our staff doesn't think he's a fit at LSU, which they clearly do not, then we don't need him no matter how many RBs we are percieved to need in this class

so could the commitment of ford, the possible grab of a big time rb next year (lache), and scott coming back have had an effect on his decision? i think he saw the possibility of limited carries at rb and/or good chance he would be moved to another position (he wants to play rb).
