porter will regret this when dooley bolts in a year or two and he's stuck in that miserable little town on a mediocre team

Or he can play in front of 5,000 people in the superdome for a bad team. BTW I do like Toldeo and hope he does well but those in glass houses shouldnt throw stones.

How do you know if you haven't tried? I think it would because most people who would buy it don't have the time to make it to Ruston if they wanted something

hey im in the studio as we speak...just getting ready, this is all the inside info.

I wish you guys were on later. I usually can't listen to the show until around 5 and then I feel like I've missed most if not all the local info.

I've only called in the one time to correct ya'll when you were saying that it was Rodney Hampton who had blown out his knee on the beach in Hawaii during the rookie game. It was, of course, Robert Edwards.

Now, you've got the psycho Techies calling for boycotts of stores that sell LSU items

Boy, bet that really has the retailers worried! It's called supply and demand.

I believe ya about the tension Cheers. I can't stand the Tech or UlaLa people (i'm in Lafayette) that want to talk about that shiate all the time.

Again, I think there are tons of Tech people out there who pull for both (or at least don't pull against my Tigers), I just think the Tech/Cajun zealots are probably a lot more vocal than the ones who pull for both.

Tech has huge LSU envy, so i refuse to pull for them. Mcneese and ULM know their place, accept it, and enjoy life and pull for LSU as well, ...so I have no problem supporting them.

ULL and Tech I will NEVER pull for or be happy for because of their small but vocal LSU haters that celebrate more over an LSU loss than a win by their team.

La Tech fans/alum aren't as bad as ULL. And as far as the athletic side of it goes, I think Dooley is the right step for them.

Dooley understands that a schools like La Tech and ULL need to be the best consistent second option in LA before they can aspire to anything else. That is exactly what he is doing, recruiting the hell out of the kids that are boarderline BCS conference players.

Porter could have gotten an SEC offer if he would have waited until signing day, good recruiting job by Dooley.

only if you can't handle academic excellence, like living in the sticks with a bunch of rednecks, and enjoy going to a college with run down dorms and facilities. tech is seeing some success right now because they have a great coach, but when he's gone, which is inevitable, why would anyone want to be there?

I went to Tech and never ran into any anti-LSU stuff. Like someone else mentioned, we had game day parties for LSU games too. Don't mistake supporting Tech for automatically being against LSU. Fans can obviously support both. I hope all the state schools do well...it's good for Louisiana.

Who doesn't know that Tulane is a good academic school? That's always Tulane's first defense of their school. I've always believed that it's more about what you do with your education than what kind of education you were provided.

Tech alum here too. I grew up an LSU fan. In fact, there was a group of 10 or so who would gather at my house in Ruston and watch LSU games.

There is a small group of Tech fans who hate LSU.
