Check this out. If Landry hits the weights he could certainly weigh as much as Ward (around 200 pounds). I would say Ward is much more physical a receiver than Michael Clayton. Just an example of the idea you don't have to be huge to be physical.

did you people watch Michael CLayton in college? We're not talking about shitty fat alcoholic MC in Tampa.

MC's prolly our best blocking WR eva
Posted on 12/22/09 at 12:37 am to The Egg
scouts were saying he was the best blocking wr to ever enter the draft when he came out, Saban put him at FS against Texas and he fricking killed people on special teams. But yeah he can't hold a candle to Jarvis. I think that Auburn kick returner/starting cornerback is still laid out from CLayton in 2001.

You better be right, or you'll pay big! After all, you did post this on the rant.

I just re-read the post I made...and I'll stick by everything typed.
I hope this pickup is real.

Folks are having selective memory with regards to Michael Clayton because of what happened later in his NFL career.
He would have been a hell of a defensive back if need be.

Maybe people are thinking of the Michael Clayton played by George Clooney?

he'll be running a 4.70 40 and squatting 700lbs after moffit gets thru with him.

JJ could also be in the pros by that time.

Hear this shite every year about some hot shot recruit.

Check our depth chart for 2011--we have very few receivers.
T. Toliver
Rueben Randle
Chris Tolliver
Thats pretty much all you have there....
Then Justin Hunter form the 2010 class...he'll definitely seeing PT by his RS FR year.
Then you have whoever else we take this year (2010) at WR.
Landry will definitely see the field his freshman year. He may be better than Chris Tolliver from the second he steps on campus.
Landry is far and away the best WR in LA this year....as a junior.

clayton was a good athlete (I went to school with him), but jarvis has a fricking mean streak like no other La recruit i've ever seen.
Clayton was a killer while at LSU. He was good for at least a pair of de-cleaters per game. Guy would crack back on DE's like a freaking freight train. I hope Landry is close to the blocker Clayton was.
Come on down!

T. Toliver will actually be gone, which makes your point even more valid.

FYI !!!!
A guy that is 5'11" 178 is going to be the most physical receiver ever at LSU? Doubt it
