This kid is an absolute monster interior pass rusher. Absolutely showcased a multitude of pass rush moves against some of the best Offensive linemen in his class. I see young Aaron Donald type talent in this kid sheesh.

OSU insiders are saying Geralds may not be a take which is confusing to me in almost every way possible. He has been pursued for over 2 years, is a top 50 type player at a position of need, but is a bit on the smaller side admittedlly.
I would hope you take him and figure it out (maybe he doesn't need to be 300 lbs to disrupt int he middle), but OSU seems to have maybe told him no (again I find it incredibly not good for a staff that I usually trust a lot)
Edit: Oh and Ruffin said he is no longer committing 7/4

If true that’s massive. OSU was prob our biggest competitor for him outside of Ole Miss. If it comes down to a Ole Miss LSU battle I’m confident in us coming out on top.

Agreed super twitchy, penetrator style of defender whose plays much stronger than his height would suggest. Exactly the type of DT Williams would love to coach up

He's an Ole Miss legacy. Not so much as a slam dunk that we'd hope for in this particular scenario. BUT, I really want us to get this kid. He's a guy who wanted to play for LSU growing up...but our DLine Coach woes probably didn't help our case for being in on him early.

Maybe it's just me and it's kind of a basic way to look at it, but my ideal 4 man front would have a leaner, faster pass rush type DT next to a big space eater DT. I just feel like giving the OL two completely different types of guys to block, you could create mismatches better.

I agree bro just like you want diff body types of wr, you won’t diff skillsets that compliment each other in the Dlineman. A quick twitchy pass rushing DT is a perfect fit next to a space eater who can command double teams. On paper Deuce Geralds is a perfect fit next to Richard Anderson. Anderson can also give you pass rushing juice at nose as well. Those two rushing the passer together from the inside would wreck havoc

Someone will drop a massive bag on him. Doubt LSU is getting into a bidding war for this guy but he looks worth it tbh.
