HOLY shite!! I didnt want to watch his vid until now because I didnt think wed get him.... but me being impressed is an understatement. Dude is like a DE,DT,OLB, ML hybrid. He has a nose for the ball and when he gets his hands on you... game over. My new favorite recruit.

Scout blew this rating...they must have felt he was under-sized

This kid has to be the ultimate Chavis hybrid player for his defense..

a grand slam pick up!

Love this video....Monday I was really down, when he said he was sticking.with UT..and I was just hoping for EGO...I figured maybe 35% chance

And the lord blessed us with both!

Quality character kids too...

I'd love to know where Chavis is leaning towards putting Copeland. He really is athletic enough to play anywhere besides the secondary. The closing speed he has is scary.

The most impressive thing about him to me is how low he stays off the snap. The guy has a great first step and he plays with tremendous pad level..he doesn't play high at all and that makes him really hard to block.

Looks like he's pretty fundamentally sound and that is a big plus for a kid just coming out of high school..especially when you add on his great athleticism.

That kid has NFL written all over him. A great pick-up for Chavis and the Tigers.

I looking forward to him continuing the LSU tradition of blowing up the backfield a la Lavalais, Kyle Williams, Wroton and Dorsey.

does he shed blocks THAT easily or are they just not blocking him? that video is ridiculous.

He gets through the hole so quick and stays so low that it looks like they barely get a hand on him. This guy is quick as quick can be.

He seems really good at shedding guys once they do get on him though..which is also promising. Give him a bit of time to bulk up in a college weightlifting program and he can be a really, really sturdy player.

I've concluded that he is invisible to offensive linemen.

he gets through so easily its almost like he is photo shopped into the video.

The real question is what was his level of competition? If atleast 4A in Georgia nothing else needs to be asked.

What high school classification did Copeland play at? That's about as dominant D-line play as I've ever seen. He looks like a man among boys.
