I don’t think this is true at all. Google says total NFL annual revenue is $20M (which includes ticket sales, tv, concessions, merchandise etc), whereas the NCAA generate ~$1M. Not even sure how much of that is allocated to football. There are tons of NCAA teams, most of which aren’t profitable, so are we talking total revenue? revenue per team?
The SEC alone makes $300M in tv revenue. Ticket/stadium/parking/etc sales, merchandise, donations, etc don’t got to the ncaa or SEC.i can’t see how the biggest schools generate 5% the revenue as an NFL team

This is the way of college football now. If we are not willing to pay them we will not get the best players.
