Lane said they weren’t going to just throw money at players
He didn’t say this. He said he wasn’t gonna “sign players” just to sign them the day before signing day. He then said “we are gonna focus more on the portal. I have no doubts the level of interest in elite players with that.”

Yall dont actually believe this shite do you?
Both Durham and Berry were much more highly rated recruits than Lacy. Difference is the offensive system.

You really think Durham and Berry are better than Kewan Lacy because they were higher rated recruits? Seriously?

Just think how good Lacy will be under Frank. Lol. Hope they spent a ton to keep him. F Ole Miss.

Would’ve been nice to have him but Lane can easily pivot to another RB that fits his system. QB and OL a bigger need.

Now that he’s staying at Ole Miss, it will miraculously get approved fast. It was only going to be denied if he wanted to come to LSU
Idk. There seems to be some MIs communication on his reasoning for his extra year as well as his former school not wanting to “lie” on the reasoning why he not playing.

Thank god we signed the 60th overall portal running back
What’s this we you speak of…… You’ve been bitching like a chick on her heavy days menstrual cycle.

That clearly changed though after beating UGA.
Nobody in their right mind saw the look on Ole Miss player’s faces and the energy and excitement that was going on and thought “well those guys will be at LSU in a couple weeks”. Watching that game live it was pretty obvious none of those key players would transfer to LSU. Hell if the offensive coaches weren’t already under contract, I bet they’d now stay at Ole Miss too.
Not necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn’t have wanted to break the bank on a running back. Berry is great and I hope we bring back Durham or get Johnson from SMU.
I’m more bummed no Chambliss. Lane can make any QB successful, but having one who already knew the system would have been helpful since all QBs now are 1 year rentals. But the NCAA would have denied his eligibility for LSU I’m sure anyway

Stud
But not $2M dollars worth of stud
He’s a damn RB. For half that price you oughta be able to get more than serviceable

To resign their own star players? Make it sense.

Adding Georgia to my hate watch list moving forward. Not that I liked them to begin with but frick em hard now.

Go look at his stats this year. A lot of 20-30 carry games and under 100 yards.
He’s a system running back. Take him out of that system and I don’t think he’s as good as everyone thinks. We will be fine with any RB under Lane

This is a bummer for me, but I hope you're right.

I mean I’m not saying he is or he isn’t as Lacy is a great back. But the guy had 23 carries for 104 yards his freshman year at Missouri. Which is not as good as Berry was this year. It’s not that far fetched to say they could have similar potentials.

They gonna have all this horsepower in a roster and let Pete Golding drive it off a cliff. I can’t wait to watch it happen.

Did Lacy stand out to anyone while he was at Mizzou? The system helps. He’s very good, but also a perfect fit for this system.
Durham looked electric in his first three games with major PT before he got hurt. In a better scheme with a better OL, he and Berry both could also be extremely good. Berry also brings a level of passing game versatility that isn’t Lacy’s strong suit. 28 for 173 yards is nothing to write home about.

Get outta here with this shite man. Lacy is the real deal. He would be good anywhere. We don’t have to act like this.
Posted on 1/5/26 at 11:23 pm to CalTiger53
Why when players dont choose LSU they gonna be a failure but when we sign low rated players we say they were under used or look he runs a 4.4 forty.
