A new 2025 kid to keep an eye on is Josh Gibbs who recently asked out of his scholarship to Georgia.

Also on the Georgia front, they just hired former LSU undergrad assistant and Nicholls pitching coach Drew Finley has a director of player development.

Wonder what happened there, Top 25/40 type kid across the services seems like

Might have to be due to Wes importing a whole new team each offseason now via the portal and ignoring his freshmen even the ones who should be playing a lot more. I dont know if he would have started Derek Curiel this season how much he hates freshmen

Some UGa fans might say but Tre Phillips! Tre Phillips turned friggin 20 years old his freshmen year basically

Someone referenced this the other day. Good interview with Jay talking about the roster, etc. Worth a listen.

It's not about the host, it's about what Jay says. You can mute the questions and just listen to Jay.

I assume this is sarcasm as this kid is top 25. My question is how did this kid not get drafted?

If he pulled his name and then dropped his commitment then that is wild. Basically hitting the reset button.

I’d assume he didn’t get his number in the draft and will go juco to try again next year. Maybe I’m wrong. Sounds he would be a nice addition for sure but I’d bet he goes juco

They had a highly ranked kid go JUCO at the semester break last year, Michael Mullinax. He went to Chipola and his performance left a lot to be desired, but just mentioning it because of the similarity.

That's interesting and not unexpected I guess.

A high school pitching recruit visited Nicholls as a possible one year landing spot and I asked if this was an arrangement with LSU to come back if certain criteria were met and was told GA might be more likely

So this info would seem to figure

Kind of on that front, Logan Sorrel from Parkview, who we were looking at in the 26 class, committed to Kentucky.

I guess that's a step up from UL-Hattiesburg.

We may.

But I would wager you're much more connected than I am. I'm just observant and do a lot of putting 2 and 2 together. I have more inside info with Tennessee than LSU.

We probably know a lot of the same people though.
