way better
ETA: I think Bradley could be fine, but it takes time behind a mic to get comfortable. Jared has done himself a lot of favors with the podcasting, just getting comfortable talking to an audience.

Jackie Bradley seems like a good person but he's not good at announcing at all. Every time he would get asked a leading question, he would give some completely off the wall answer. It's like he didn't understand the job. It would be the end of the game and he would get asked like what was the most surprising thing he saw and he would say like "nothing really" or say some inconsequential something that was obviously not any kind of storyline in any way.
I think Jared Mitchell is going to go far. He gets it. He gets the job. He's very intelligent. He has some wit but isn't goofy. I could see him becoming very prominent very soon.

I already said I wanted JMitch on the broadcast, you don't have to keep trying to convince me

The Dodgers just signed a St John's commit to a $500K UDFA contract.
New fear unlocked for undrafted commits.

My word. I’m sure that kind of shite would come out of nowhere to both us as fans following and college coaches alike.

Dodgers don’t have any rules. Literally can do whatever they want
Remember when they were given permission to go way above slot on the QB from TX that was on campus at LSU, and then the commissioner wouldn’t allow the Twins to do the same
And now pushing the limits of everything with deferred payments.

There weren’t slots at that time, and they were allowed to prorate his bonus over 5 years because he had signed a football LOI. It wasn’t about permission. They didn’t have any money because of the McCourts divorce. The prorated bonus was the only way they could have afforded him.
Somebody else this year paid a kid from Middle Tennessee like $700k as a UDFA.

Has Noot confirmed that he is returning? I know last year he never went public and just returned.

Jay mentioned noot on tiger rag radio last week
Sounded for sure he will be back

Just going through the guys that were drafted and didn't sign, UCLA got an infielder that the Brewers picked in the 15th round. Dominic Cadiz has been playing this summer in the West Coast League and slashed .345/.454/.628 with 9 HRs as an incoming freshman playing against college guys.
And I don't know if there is place for him to slot in their lineup with all the returning guys they have. They're going to be legit next year.

Just saw this. It was the Rays. They paid him $732,500 as a UDFA.
Also a couple other SEC related signing:
17th Rd Luke Roupe (South Carolina) - $225,000
20th Rd Ma'Kale Holden (Bama) - $410,000
19th Rd Chase Bentley (A&M) - $757,500

Brutal. Better them than us.

On the UCLA topic, I know the Big Ten has vastly more funds now, but I feel like their new member schools from the Pac12, specifically UCLA and Oregon, may suffer ill effects in the sport of baseball due to the overall subpar product in their new conference from top to bottom. The in-conf records seem inflated due to the several bottom barrel baseball programs in that conference. I’m sure the facilities and programs may improve in time at the Penn States, Michigan States, etc., but I just don’t think that overall brand of baseball does a good enough job preparing those teams in that conference for postseason play. The old Pac12 was a much more complete conference in baseball from top to bottom.

Dylan Thompson will be at Blinn next year, according to Ronnie Rantz on Hunt Palmer's show yesterday.

Thatll probably be ucla’s biggest hurdle next season, handling the jump in competition from regular season to postseason, depending on how their schedule sets up

Will be following him, had a really good summer it seems. Dont know why he didnt pitch this yar unless he was battling some injuries with so many of pitchers unable to throw strikes.
