Did they actually try to give lache anything or did they just come across as sleazy?

im very intrested to see what comes of the NCAA in Thibodeaux. There has been some very big allegations, but nothing yet. There is to much smoke to not be some sort of a fire imo.

The fact that Trooper and Nelson are being mentioned as associates makes my skin crawl.

I would like to think Chizik is clean but no way Trooper is. If trooper was just giving phones away, I could see him keeping that from Chizik. However, if payments are actually being made to these frontmen steering athletes to the highest bidder, I can't see trooper and boosters getting that one by Chizik. I hope for Auburn's sake there is nothing to this.

Chizik is staking out a "plausible deniability" position. No head coach is THAT stupid...
However ,we are dealing with the NCAA here, so there will likely be no rhyme, reason or even fairness to the result of the investigation.
If recent history is a guide, nothing happens at all, whic would be tragic for everybody but AU, and AU loses in the long run.

Chizik is a puppet, he is not in control of this mess and knows it. All indications from the insiders in bama and even bama fans is that he is good guy and clean. He is just grateful to get a chance to coach as he was about to be fired at Iowa state and he knows not to bite the hand the feeds him.

He may very well be a puppet. If he claims not to know of any violations that the staff he hired might have committed, wouldn't that be a lack of institutional control?
