Duckie I just picked up another one, see link. I like LSU alot and when a MD guy signed with LSU that opened up hope that they are still looking in the MD area. I only like to promote myself where I have intreast. LSU is a great program and I know Les will be there until Les wants to leave after this great season that's coming up.

This kid is going to get bigger and OG is his future. I can see him in Purple and Gold at Center too what an anchor he would be in 2 years.

Nice film Ryan...keep working at it on and off the field and you will attain your goals.

You know, they call LSU "Lineman U"! Some phenomenal past offensive and defensive players who are now playing on Sundays. If you've ever considered the possibility of football as a career, LSU is the place to be.
Would love to see you in Purple and Gold!

You seem to have alot of potential and a good head on your shoulders. Did you camp at LSU, or been in contact with the coaches about your interest about our program?

ryan, i think you could play OG at a lower-level 1A school possibly if you increase your size and explosiveness

umm...from the videos, he gets off the blocks like a champ which is good. but in JC Copland's video and other high schoolers, they are not even blocked.

i'm impressed this kid admitted he was ryan.

Welcome Ryan! One thing that has been consistent with Les Miles over the years is that he'll take a good recruit from anywhere in the country. Good luck on becoming a tiger!

WTF!!
If he is the same person as on the scout/yahoo link pages -
He is a sophomore and has offers from GT, Stanford, WV and Maryland (all BCS schools ) and almost automatically places him in the top half of the D-1 school system.
I think he is aiming for the top 10 and not merely to place somewhere.

CalTiger,
Check your Latin quote. "Viditur" should be "Videtur."

Well it's a good thing you are not a coach/scout. The kid hasn't even started his junior year yet and he already has offers from BCS conference schools. He has two more years to develop and mature, but now don't get me wrong, he can either get better, or get lazy and get worse. Ryan, keep working hard and you will be able to excel in college, and hopefully the pros.

Ryan, I also thought you looked much better on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, you didn't look like you got much of a jump off the ball. I would just make a highlight tape of offense and leave it at that. Good luck!

Ryan, really want advice?
Work on speed and let your body grow into itself.
A. You've got great speed and quickness for a young kid. However, you can never be too fast. Work on burst (10 - 20 yd sprints and various jumps), explosion lifts (cleans and jumps), and lateral quickness (various cone drills).
Also, stay flexible...work on yoga drills. I'm serious, the best way to remain quick and injury free is to stay as flexible as possible. Yoga will help immensely.
B. Many high school players make the mistake of trying to bulk up by heavy weight lifting and protein shakes way to early in life. You need to let your bones and muscles grow to their potential. Adding a lot of weight and stressing the body with heavy weights will stunt your height. It'll also make you slow. Do not want, the taller the better (college coaches will see that as potential).
I know there's the argument that adding pure muscle is optimal, but you're still way too young for that.
I tell you this because height and speed are the two things that you can't really teach. However, you can take the proper steps when young to max each characteristic and it will help.
I hope you make it down to LSU, we could use your passion for the game.
Oh yeah, SlowFlowPro - get bent. Way to f*cking pigeonhole a young energetic player after watching a few minutes of film. Dude's still a kid and oozes potential...arrogant prick.
There's NO way to determine this kid's limit this early in his career.
