I'm not saying I believe it, but I think you are interpreting the "scenario" wrong. Saban calls Cristobal and says Ish is a good player and worth taking, but Bama doesn't have the room to take Rodney and tells Cristobal if he has room it's worth it. Bama saves the scholly and doesn't have to worry about Ish in the SEC/LSU.

Not really shady, just a smart tactical move by the leprechaun.

This is completely different than Oregon offering Rodney as a favor to Saban.

I don’t think the OP meant it that literally.

Not really. It's exactly what I was talking about. But you're okay with it because he didn't use the word "favor".

Really?

You think it's out of the realm of possibility that he called his former assistant and asked him for a favor?

All I can go on is what I read. Words mean something.

The word "favor" completely changes the context of the statement.

Let's just agree to disagree, here, brother. If you meant what BayouCowboy posted, then, yeah, I can see that happening. I just wouldn't call that a favor.

We can just simply disagree civilly, that's okay. We don't have to "agree to disagree."

I agree but maybe there some quid pro quo and Oregon was close to offering anyway. It could be make sure to offer and we’ll let you know of some B+ recruits down here.

Good call, baw...can't stand when people insist that I agree to disagree with them. If I want to agree, I will...and that's it.

I mean too late. It’s an LSU Alabama battle, but can’t blame them for trying

Do you literally just go into every thread and repost what other people have already said just to get some upvotes?

Outside of a short period of time when I hated my job and spent most of my time on the Poli Board, no.

It's very seriously hazardous to your health to keep up with that shite. Stress increases, you're always angry. It's not good.

In human language it just means I'll never agree with the point you are arguing, so let's just drop it.

I think it's pretty civil. Compared to tRant it's a couple of Buddhists arguing over who will open the door for the other.

Getting back on point, I really didn’t want this. I would rather have two good prospects. However, I think this is more beneficial to Oregon then LSU. Oregon is trying to do something it never has. LSU is just trying to close the fence on the state, which is overrated anyway, imho.

Isn't this confirmation that another P5 program thinks landing Ish is worth burning the extra scholarship on Rodney? At least we're not the only school offering two scholarships to land him.
