My man saw the entire team come back and watched Peetz talk so now he wants "possibly" back in. I understand he's a top talent, but my gosh this saga is ridiculous. Make a decision and just get on your way.

It is possible that Peetz contacted him and had a good conversation with him. If I was a new OC I definitely would have at least called him.

Fans are more of a distraction lol we don’t even know the full story (which the coaches and team more than likely does). Everyone just overreacts overreacts. CEO and Co. got it

Even if he wants back in it's not worth the distraction because he's no longer dependable. Since he's already quit mid-season once what's to stop him from bailing out again?

Kole Taylor was serviceable in his absence and if we're going back to Brady's 4 WR/1RB - 5 WR style offense we have plenty of WR depth to handle it.

I'm sorry but this is the dumbest fricking take in history. We aren't filling all of our scholarships so bringing him back costs us literally nothing. Anyone who wouldn't take this kid if he wanted to come back is a moron.

I for one would gladly welcome Gilbert back. I dont personally know his story but I do know that he's a college Freshman playing for one of the biggest teams in the nation, which required him to leave where he grew up and on top of that still have to deal with Georgia in his ear. Not to mention he can't really have a social life and enjoy himself which sucks and I'm sure it all overwhelmed him and I'm sure most of us have been there. Give the kid a chance to calm down and gather himself.

Brady ran 11 personnel more than he ran 4 or 5 wide. Our main personnel grouping was Clyde, moss, chase, Jefferson, and Marshall. RB, TE, 3 WR. However Clyde and Thad split out a lot to create mismatches

I thinks that's part of it based on some of the news reports, but I've seen some posts that mom still really likes LSU and it would certainly make sense that Peetz and/or Mangas reached out to him unless O said don't.

He's an 18 year old kid that had some issues and left the team. He didn't trash LSU on the way out the door as far as I know. Quitting was a crappy thing to do, but so did Marshall and Chase did so in August when we were counting on them. Shouldn't our veterans be held to a higher standard than an 18 year old true freshman away from home for the first time and isolated due to all the COVID mess?

I can see it either way, full of shite or Gilbert having second thoughts and thinking the new OC can get the offense back to where it was when he committed to LSU

Actually, if Dare, Wire, Clark and Baskerville all return (all are expected to right now), then we could end up going OVER our current limit of 81. The assumption we would fall short was based on the belief that a bunch of guys would leave, which hasn’t happened.

We could lose some more to the portal like Thornton and Curry, but unless a bunch leave after Spring, we will end up ok on scholarships.

All this aside, if Gilbert wants back in, they will make room for him.
