How?. Maybe u should tune into morning scone and watch him as a dad w his special needs son before you call him cringey. He has a good radio voice.. usually is pretty locked into whats going on.. I think he does a damn good job

EXACTLY. This old "my way or the highway" bullshite doesn't work on today's kids with the options they have.
I also get a kick out of the "dad gummit, we shouldn't be begging these kids to play, I didn't beg the girls to date me back in HS" statements. "If he don't decide by 6:43 taniigghht, we need to move on Cletus." Another beauty.
Coaches have to do a certain degree of begging, wining & dining, and arse kissing to be successful. They also need a lot of patience. If that doesn't appeal to them, they need to change professions.

I apologize for hurting your feelings, but there’s more or less a consensus here on this.
I respect his work, especially as an interviewer. I don’t have anything against him personally.
He is difficult to listen to in large doses because he oozes insecurity & the kind of vanity where I would not be surprised if he reads this board and agonizes over other people’s opinion of him. Real sensitive fella trying hard to project this BS macho bro persona.
It’s not unbearable… but grating especially over time / once you see it.
Idk what his kid has to do with any of that, the phrase was “cringey” not “deadbeat dad”
