I knew before I clicked on this thread you were gonna mention Trinidad Chambliss. Yes we get it. It’s possible to get a winning lottery ticket. But it doesn’t make it sound financial planning to plan around winning the lottery every year.

Why are some of yall so entrenched in the Kiffin can do no wrong corner? Its ok to say that we haven't gotten our top choices in QB but we trust Lane to make lemonade out of lemons.
Its clear that we have targeted several QBs and none of the have signed with us. That doesn't mean the Lane is a failure but it is a fact. Sure we hope the Lane finds a Chambliss and maybe he does but its also possible that we get an average QB in year 1 and that's OK. Lane took Blake Sims to the playoffs and did alright with a freshman Jalen Hurts. His scheme will make an average QB look above average.
I trust Lane Kiffin will have us competitive in year 1 and title contenders in short order. But that doesn't mean fans can't express concern that everything isn't going perfectly for us so far.
The defense should be even better this year and I trust Lane to put together a much better offense than we had a year ago.

see, the thing is, you think that he can find a diamond in the rough EVERY time, like he apparently did with Chambliss... and while yes, he may can coach up guys, some guys just don't have the ceiling necessary to win championships...
sometimes, you actually need a top guy if you want to get to the top... and let's not act like he hasn't had some of the best QBs to work with... Leinart, Barkley, Coker, Hurts, Corral... those guys were very highly ranked and recruited guys... they weren't some backwater unknown... Chambliss is really the only guy that came out of nowhere under Kiffin... you could maybe make an argument for Chris Robinson during his time at FAU...

Kiffin has done some dumb shite but through his entire career having shitty offenses isn’t one of them. Need to relax and remember who’s running shite and his track record offensively.

It’s amazing to see how many experts on here that know better and know what Kiffin is thinking and doing behind closed doors . Chicken little syndrome on here is nauseating

I find it strange that you dont' understand the "panic". We have 0 QB's. Not 1 Freshmen. Or 1 WR/RB who played QB in high school. We have no one to throw the ball.
And, i don't know if you've heard, but we haven't signed one yet either. I think if we at least had a warm body with ink on a page, it might calm some people. But it's understandable to be concerned with no QB and 2 unproven olinemen on the team.
Also, i think people are assuming we are going to win 10 games next year and be in the playoffs. I doubt that happens, even if we have the best defense in the country. So people may be wondering, how are we going to make it to the playoffs with a completely new offense both coaches and players, outside of Berry.
