You just made my point. They don't have to put his name in the portal. He just has to unenroll. Sure he can sue for them not putting his name in the portal, but that's just a waste of time. UW is not on the hook for anything. If he wants to leave, he just has to walk out the door. Wisc/Miami player set the precedent. That's exactly what happened.
Nice back track from your OP

Nope. Demond just has to unenroll at UW and enroll at LSU. Done.
The team putting him in the portal or not doesn’t matter.

According to multiple AI platforms:
What the NCAA Requires
• A player must notify their school in writing of their intent to transfer.
• Once the athlete does that, the school’s compliance office is required to enter the athlete’s name into the portal.
• Schools do not have the authority to block, delay, or deny the request.
• The portal is a compliance tool, not a coach’s decision.

We should try to add a guy like Landen Clark from a smaller school as a strong backup plan just in case. We need multiple QBs anyway and QB is by far the most important position on the team.

I'm assuming Clark will be in the fold after watching his film. :-)

Has anyone seen this kid with Lane? No. Has anyone seen him on campus? No. This is all done through agents

My point was if he doesn’t want to wait for them to be forced by NCAA rules and bylaws to be entered he can just leave. Your point was they didn’t have to put him in, which by NCAA rules they have to or be sued

He needs to unenroll....enroll....end of story
He is not an employee
Universities process scholarship athletes all day long

I dont care as long as we get a good QB. It'll be a pretty big fail if we don't.

Believe it was addressed with a kid who left Wisconsin for Miami

Do we still have the retarded compliance dept?
Posted on 1/7/26 at 1:14 pm to TT
You're a total moron! Look up "restraint of trade". That phrase is a killer to rules regarding movement of players, etc. I'm not a lawyer but I know a hell of a lot more than you do about this situation.

Yeah, I just destroyed TT's earlier opinion but as you said, he just walked back him comment which basically said Washington was in control of the situation. He gave an ignorant opinion but has now changed his mind apparently. Washington is NOT in control of a situation. Washington has a TIGER by the tail and don't know what to do with it.

I don't think Chambliss is getting another year. But we'll see.

Maybe when the Elon quarterback visits on January 9, he will commit to us. And if we do get Williams, then we will be in a very, very good shape quarterback wise.

We still need two more QBs...we are just getting started.

You bet your arse the day after we sign a qb Trinidad Chambliss will get his extra year of eligibility. Im convinced of this. This stuff doesn't take two months to rule on..
Ditto. This will 100% happen.
