LSU could use another RB and Williams isn't a scrub so I say Frank should give him a call and offer him as a RB
Yes, Coach Frank should obviously consult with the recruiting board for these types of decisions. If CFW decides to offer him as a RB, then he should be. If not, then it's up to DW to do whatever He feels is better for him. Frank is the recruiting coordinator/Running Backs Coach. I think He knows what is best in this situation and whatever decision He makes will be fine with me.

I kind of like the fact that based on the comments and tweets from the williams camp, our guys are being straight up with them.

So many people would lie to these kids and their families about anything to get a commitment.

I read the ATL offer as: well try at RB, but if we can't get you on the field as a RB, we won't just bury you on the depth chart never to be heard from again.

Does the staff think we get Hilliard back? If I'm counting on my fingers correctly, we should have Fournette, Magee, and Palelei. Why in the world would he not be a runningback? Being the way Les is, we don't go into the season with only 3 backs.

Sports Today said Blue was looking to get a 5th year, maybe Les thinks we will have Blue another year.

Blue looks to be another Murphy.

Give it to Gage

I am usually all for the hometown guy, but Gage is not on the level as some of the recruits we are after. He is a backup plan only. Y'all need to realize this.

Agreed^. Although he got some more playing time earlier and Murphy never really got into the rotation much.

I know it's joked about on here that Duckie is Jimmy, but I'm starting to believe that bayou blazer is. He seems to have a great fascination\obsession with Gage that I haven't seen from anyone else who posts here.

I thought Blue would try to get another year. I would love to have his leadership and experience back. Blue, Magee, Fournette just sounds a lot better. Palelei would be able to make some impact, especially in the passing game, but honestly, magee and fournette are upgrades there as well.

Another guy that doesn't get mentioned a ton is Brandon Jacobs. I believe Saban pretty much told him you are a DE prospect or a MLB or we don't want you. He wanted to play rb.

UHHH, NO...the most impressive highlights Ive seen is of Elijah Hood from North Cakka Lakky(Carolina for those who dont know). Now that kid is a true runningback!

If the guy wants to be at LSU, just come here and have faith that your talent and hard work will get you what you want. McGee persevered and he got in the rotation. Like someone else said, I would want to get on the field any way I could. There's tons of examples of guys that came in at different positions and found out they were better at it.

if LSU only ends up with 3 RB's next year, L Louis could always be used if needed. he was better as a RB in high school.

I am an ASU fan but have a lot of respect for your program. We want this guy bad. I really hope we end up keeping him but the situation kind of worries me.

by the way. Beat on Bama today!

If Livingston Parish bolts to Bama, I would consider that addition by subtraction.

I brought this up and also how Elijah Hood and Derrius Guice are almost Identical running backs.

Darrel is like a bigger Spencer Ware, and I damn sure want that.

MIDLANDS REGION TOP PERFORMERS
1. RB Leonard Fournette, New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine (2014)
Fournette is known for his running abilities, but he put his receiving abilities on full display. On the night he only had seven receptions. He caught passes out of the backfield, he went over the middle, he split out wide, and he racked up 242 yards with touchdowns of 61 and 66 yards. Then to top it off, he added 41 yards and the first touchdown of the night on seven carries. Fournette took care of business in every way. He blocked, he played some safety. He did it all and St. Augustine claimed a district championship with a win over Jesuit on Thursday night.

2. RB Darrel Williams, Marrero (La.) John Ehret (2014)
How does one match Fournette's performance? Just ask Darrel Williams, because he made it tough to declare the top, top performer. All Williams did was run for 293 yards and seven scores in a big win over rival West Jefferson. He showed power, speed, and the ability to break away. He ran through and past opponents as he punished the West Jefferson defense with his 41 carries. On the night, Williams also set a school rushing record, eclipsed 2,000 yards on the season, and helped his team claim the district title a year after going winless.

Easy to understand their position but they should be aware that that they will not find the honestly & directness of the LSU staff @ every school that offers. I think Les is a (rare) man of his word in the college game.

excellent point. At least LSU isn't telling him what they think they want to hear. I hope Staff continues this. Principle, character, and pride matters.

Unfortunately most kids and many parents don't see this. But that's why nothing good is ever easy.
