Auburn run out of money?

Wow. According to Rivals, he was offered by pretty much everybody.
That's about as impressive offer list as they come.
Must be a smart kid. He's graduating early, and he chose LSU!!

That's funny stuff right there...
I told a guy from AU the other day that Saints fans were very concerned about losing Brees since he's in a contract year because Brees' agent is in negotiations with the Saints front office and the AU athletic department. I don't think Benson has that much money...

OT Vadal Alexander commits to LSU over Auburn and Alabama
2:36 pm October 10, 2011, by Michael Carvell
If you heard somebody screaming in the distance on Monday afternoon, it may have been LSU coach Les Miles.
Vadal Alexander, one of the Georgia’s most heavily-recruited college football prospects, committed to LSU over Auburn and Alabama. The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder from Buford High School was ranked by some as the state’s No. 1 OL prospect.
Alexander called all three of his finalists on Monday, and got an enthusiastic reaction from Miles.
“It was great,” Alexander told the AJC. “He was ecstatic. He was screaming and yelling, you know, only like Coach Miles can do. He is very outgoing. He was happy and he was definitely screaming.”
Miles had plenty to hoop and holler about. LSU rallied to edge Auburn for Alexander’s services.
“I had taken my official visits to Alabama and Auburn, and going into this past weekend’s trip to LSU, Auburn was leading,” Alexander said. “But I went to LSU and it just clicked for me. It was one of those things that I just knew when I left from Louisiana on Sunday evening. It was the atmosphere, the coaches, and everything. There was nothing negative about LSU, It was all positive.”
Alexander is a native of New Orleans, and lived in Louisiana until he was three years old. His father played college football at Nichols State. Alexander said the Louisiana connection did not affect his college decision. “No, it really didn’t. I went into my official visits with an open mind. Everybody was even and got their chance. Being from Louisiana wasn’t a factor.”
What position will Alexander play on LSU’s offensive line? “They see me as a tackle but I would play any position that they need me to play. I would play tackle or guard.”
Welcome aboard big guy!

Talked briefly to Vadal and his dad at the Lod Cook Hotel Sunday AM. He is very personable and well-spoken and mentioned that he was enjoying his visit. I believe that he will be a great representative of an LSU football player.
If we can sigh DeSean Smith for the following year's class, I KNOW he will be.
