While I do wish it works out for LSU. I wouldn't mind some precedent that says these kids can't sign one agreement and then just bail if they get a better one.

If it wants to be NFL Lite, make the rosters and players have accountability too
Yeah, but only after next year. In 2027 that can be implemented lol.

They can’t forcefully keep him. Right? He just won’t get the NIL money.

I haven’t seen his contract, but they could retain his NIL rights. That would in theory prevent another school from paying him for NIL. That would then make any payment from another school true pay for play which by the book would be against NCAA rules.

I don’t disagree with you but what happens when he just takes a seat at practice and refuses to participate?

The same thing that happens to NFL holdouts. They get held hostage more or less. I agree that I hope this works out for LSU AND sparks change in how this shite is handled going forward. The current model isn't sustainable.

A rev share is a rev share. Why would it be pay for play for him but not every other player that gets it?

Washington is full of douches
how the frick do you think LSU would be reacting to a player bolting 4 days after signing?
Obviously they can't force him to play, but to act like they should just say oh ok cya is retarded.
Williams shouldn't have signed it he wasnt done looking around.

Rev share agreements are NIL agreements. They aren't pay for play.

Based on the current (lack of) rules, the “student-athletes” hold all the cards.

Ok so……
They keep his NIL rights. That’s all they have.

Sounds like he's a prisoner in that state. Well, he's now in the state of Louisiana, and we use Napoleanic legal code. So Washington fricked!
