Maybe we the only team playing by the new rules! We all know the NCAA watching us like a hawk, looking for LSU to be the example or fall guy.

Sorsby gets 5 mill..What did we offer? Lane needs to find deeper pockets?

We arent getting out bid, Sorsby was never coming here. His girlfriend just transferred to Texas Tech and he was going there all along.

It's like no one can use google and see that Lane brought in 30 portal transfers last year to Ole Miss. 10 - 4 stars and 20 3 stars and that team is in the semifinals.

Just relax and let the offseason play out and let's see what it all looks like against Clemson.

Leavitt is better than Sorsby. Texas Tech is overpaying for someone not as good.

I want to let you in on a little secret.

Please keep this to yourself and do NOT share it with anyone else.

There are 136 teams in the FBS. Like LSU, they are shopping for players.

I've been told that LSU has a lot of money to spend on talent acquisition. I've been told that it is more money than most of the other 135 teams have. Nevertheless, it would seem likely that LSU has less than 2% of the total FBS teams funds (1/136).

That money has to be used to for talent retention and HS recruiting too.

We are going to be outbid for players. It only takes one team to value a player more than LSU to get outbid, and there are 135 other teams. We probably have less than 2% of the total funds. We can't pay everyone. It's going to happen. We are going to be outbid.

Bear in mind, however, that Kiffin has been doing this for several years with a smaller budget than he has now. He's been doing it a school at which it is more difficult to recruit. He acquired 30 players in the portal last year. Those players form the core of an CFP semi-final team.

It takes time to find bargains. It takes time find undervalued talent.

Be patient.

LSU will be saving approx. $2 million by not signing Lacy to put into other players.

I love Lacy, but I’m not mad about not spending 2 mill on one RB.

My guy we have a nice war chest to add players, however that money needs to be spread out. Not only do we have a dump truck ton of positions that need to be filled, our current players are sticking their hands in the cookie jar trying to pinch more money.

If we forked out 5mill for players, we would have 8 new players added to our roster.

We have to approach this offseason smarter. Get quality players for less money and rebuild our roster with 20-30 new players. Smart investing is better than splashy assets.

We will for some; won’t for others. Priorities are different for each school.

Kiffin has a whole offense to buy after what was already spent to retain. They also need depth. It’s a balancing act that will occur every year.

Look at it as each school has a cap they have to work under

With a nam like Billy Bob you'd think you'd have the sack to wait this out.
