It think we just lacked focus last night. Coming back hone after nearly a week on the road, early in the season, Mardi Gras day, poor weather conditions most of the day, etc. But we fought through it and found a way to win. Thats a big positive. That's a level of resilience that can transfer to games down tge road.

90 downvotes sums it up but, this is baseball. Every night there are games that are close and they shouldn’t be.

If being tagged #1 effects this group of players like you are implying then its good they got that ranking now rather than late in the season. Gives Jay the chance to tighten them up and fix it.

This same time of year in 2023, that team went on the road to beat Texas on a Tuesday early in the season and took care of business and handled the pressure.
They just got done playing a rescheduled game last Monday, followed by traveling to Dallas for a game Wednesday, then to Frisco for 3 more games this weekend, then traveling back to Baton Rouge. OU and Florida both got run-ruled last night, and Tennessee was in a dogfight with Radford until a big 8th inning.

Florida the 7th ranked team in the nation just got 10 run ruled against UCF. A&M just went from 1st to 13th. The point is teams are still figuring out who they are right now and some will figure it out faster than others. Rankings mean absolutely nothing still.

i mean theh pitches like shite, went down like 7-1 and then battled backs o in without hitting in the 9th.
you’d love to see us not give up 9 to NDST but the offense showed up.
The only people I was genuinely disappointed in were Cade and Wade because I expect better from both of them.
