At the half he was 11 for 14, 172 yds with one bad drop.

Thanks! Sounds like he had a good 2nd half too! Do you have his total passing yds for the game cause me and my posse had to scoot on back to my tailgate for some more food. We was really hungry and missed the second half. Thanks!

You were taking up for one of his detractors the other day and slamming me in the process. You are all over the place.

Oppty Oop. He is a master at Madden Football. Changing the plays on Les.

The coach's plays in Madden suck too.

Strangely enough, the one thing Harris was really good at was throwing the ball deep. I agree Etling needs to add this weapon to the arsenal.

The TD pass to Chark was amazing. That ball couldn't have been thrown any better

You clearly have more time on your hands than I do.

Harris targeted TEs 26 times in 278 attempts - 9.4% of the time in 2015. In 2016 he has 1 TE target through 25 attempts - 4% of the time.

I've got Etling with 4 TE targets through 44 attempts - 9.1%. The dump off to Jeter that was called back because of a hold against JSU isn't counted in those targets because it isn't listed as a target in the play by play. Figured it was only fair to leave it off since I don't have time to watch every game in 2015.

It was. I wonder if that has more to do with Etling getting more reps with Chark than he does with Dural and Dupre due to being the back up during the summer and spring?

Regardless, I'm hoping the deep balls improve as he gets more reps with the outside WRs.

Maybe it was a half step too long, but that's nit picky as hell. It was a pretty pass which resulted in six. I'd like to see more of that. Etling seems reluctant to bomb down the field, preferring to get things in smaller, more controlled chunks. It's working, but there's some value in throwing deep more often, even if its incomplete.

This place seems to be giddy with every check down. Dumping it off just for the sake of doing so isn't necessarily a good thing.

of course it isn't and I don't think anybody would be happy at him checking down if we had guys running wide open down the field

but you could lose some of the verticality that this offense has had in the past if you don't take a few deep shots instead of the 2 yard dump off.

He took plenty of deep shots

Is this anecdote not problematic for you?

Funny that you should post that video. It ended with a four man Alabama rush that drove three (THAT'S THREE!!!) LSU offensive linemen into the QB.

My friend, THAT is not a scheme problem.

He left a lot on the board too that he won't miss next week.

He's progressing from one game to the next. And that is good to see.

Etling threw two bombs against State. That's plenty.

As do I, just not as crazy about it as they are.

I guess. I counted 4 over 20 yards, with only one being completed.

man, you are nitpicking at this point. I could see a handful of times, perhaps, where a shot downfield was a good option, but maybe that was not in the progressions for that play. He probably aired it out too much vs JSU, and maybe you could argue not quite enough against MSU. Maybe. Either way, the pendulum might land in the middle this week. I'm expecting to see improvement every week right now with him and Cam.

Not trying to, but I made it clear in my first post about Etling in this thread that A) I'm not in love with the check downs like everyone else, although I understand and appreciate the way he has managed it, and B) I just want him to be more cautious as he scrambles.

The check down comment wasn't an indictment of Etling as much as it was a shot at the Rant and how much they love it.
