It was frustrating because that's probably the worst team Saban fielded while at LSU, and one of the few times we had an opportunity to play Texas. I live in Austin now and that's all Texas fans bring up. I just wish we could've played them any other year but that one.

I was there. Had a great time....oh, except for the game.

Was there in the South Endzone. Wind was coming out of the North - froze my arse off. Way to early for new year's day! Hair of the dog was quick and easy but the wiskey didn't keep us warm enough. Poor LSU fans in front of me vomitted the entire game. Wasn't sure if it was how terrible we were playing or the booze from the night before.

I know TigerDeacon was there. I remember Bradie James running Roy Williams down from behind and we thought Williams was fast.

I was there. This is what I remember:
1) It was cold. We were under stadium overhang and never got benefit of warmth from sun.
2) Roy Williams ate up Corey Webster. Saban was hard-headed (go figure) and refused to give him help.
3) UT plays the same song over and over again, like the TN band playing Rocky Top.

Bevo, it's what's for "brunch"...Although Mike Williams closed down the grill. So we had to have Beef, it's what's for dinner on the way home.

I lived in Rockwall, TX at the time and attended the game. It was very cold at the start of the game, but I recall that it did warm up some as the game went on. Unfortunately, we did not get hot as it was painful to watch Chrissie Simms lead Texas past LSU.

There. Watched a wide open pass to Dominick Davis fall to the ground. If only he makes that catch...

the most miserable bowl i've been too...the stadium was shite, the time of the game was terrible, and the texas fans were complete assholes

I was there with very little sleep. We woke up late and had to drive in from a friend's house in Irving. The 10am kick off was rediculous. Anytime something exciting happened I'd bash my shins against the metal chair in front of me. The huge slab of concrete between the endzone and the seats was a bit rediculous as well. I was releived when it was announced that the Cotton Bowl game was being moved to Cowboy's Stadium.

I was there, with jr. high son (now LSU senior) and Dad (LSU '61). Cold, but fun. Sitting up high in a corner, there was a drunk/funny LSU guy about 10 rows above us single-handedly heckling about 30 UT fans--"Who'd you beat this year? Baylor? Ooooo, Baylor!" Everyone was laughing, even the UT folks. LSU fans stopped laughing in 4th quarter, drunk guy shut up.

Remember when that jackass Saban called the fake punt with Bradie James?

I was there. Scraped frost off the windshield to begin the day. Wrapped it up with gumbo by the pool in summer clothes.
When I got to the stadium, I realized I left my ticket at home. A generous LSU fan gave me one of his extras.

Little nicky was hell bent on guarding ROY W man to man.I've never seen an easier 300 yard passing day in my life. That stadium is a dump old steel back chairs with no leg room.I sat right in front of a concrete piling that obstructed 100's of people.I went to the Saints game last week and you guys are in for a treat.

We were there and sitting right by Bevo. We kept thinking how stupid it was to put him right by the LSU fans knowing how we can be. The poor thing never moved and folks kept chanting "poke him." We found out pretty soon after the game why he wasn't really moving around much. He was sick and died soon after.

we froze our asses off, then with a huge hangover, as we did not stop drinking and playing poker until 8:30 or something like that..gotta rent a Motor Home again...we camped out 2 nites even though we are in Dallas..still have extra tickets they are 4 sale

I was there.
Sat next to a middle aged couple from Texas. Very nice people. The guy went on and on about how miserable OU fans are. I thought it was just rivalry hate until I experienced it in 2003.
and, yes, Roy Williams is still open.
