That's sad that you think a top 25 offense is an unreasonable expectation. And you call others negative.
It should be the rule for this team...not the exception.

I'm sorry that you feel that focusing towards this program taking steps back to greatness is casting a cloud on the head coach and what he's done.
I guess you're making your own tacit comment about the standard to which you hold him. I actually think he can do those things, which is why I demand them of him and am critical when he comes up short of his potential.
If I thought he couldn't do what I'm asking then I guess I'd be in your boat.

This is utterly false. I can't name you one person who has made an incredibly stupid comment of saying they wished LSU would lose, just so Orgeron could be fired. I know they exist, because I've seen the post, but they do not constantly present themselves here.
However, the other side is a very very vocal few. They probably also outnumber the other side by 3 or 4 times.

Rouge is the only one I can name off the top of my head. I have a bookmark somewhere when an asshat said he couldn't wait to laugh at the positive guys when LSU loses. I counted that as wanting to lose because it's a dumbass thing to say.

Bitching 247 isn't doing that, chief.
I mean, you would think a real fan would be excited about this recruit but you've done nothing but whine

quote:It's LSU's J O B to make sure he sticks! You have to stay on top of these kids today with showering them with all kind of attention and all. The stuff they call "lots of love", they need to feel loved as they put it. If you don't they start to drift and you don't want that, but you have to give them the attention they desire or else some other school will come along and sweep them up. I'm happy for LSU, but I wish he hadn't committed this early because it's hard to keep them committed. But it can be done and hopefully they can add the other kid later on too. What a coup that would be!
Great grab, hopefully he sticks.

I know there were a few. I remember calling out two of them. They are just as dumb as the other side, just not as loud.

You are only critical of O and SE...you talk about lowering expectations and when our defense doesn’t live up to the hype it’s the offenses fault or one guy getting hurt in the first game. Aranda did much better with far less talent at Wisconsin then he has here but let’s just make excuses for him bc he is the anti O hero. SE makes a third of what DA makes yet a new qb, system, rbs, young WRs with very little timing with new qb, and a oline that played terrible don’t matter...if you want to be fair be consistent with taking to task the entire staff and not just the coaches that you want replaced

I'm not bitching 24/7.
Maybe I was overwhelmingly critical of this regime before but I think I've been far more balanced since returning from my banning. I have not bashed the head coach once.
That said, what do you want me to say? Recruiting was never the basis of my concern for this regime.

This post right here. What the other side took to be shitting on Aranda was an attempt to show their glaring hypocrisy. It shouldn't be surprising to anyone that it was promptly twisted into Aranda hate. Which was never the intention.

Here is what 247 sports said:
“He’s physical in run support, is a very good athlete and plays much faster than his 40 time. He clocked a 4.68-40 at The Opening Finals last summer, which is plenty fast for a junior but plays even quicker and his instincts are off the charts.”

I was surprised with his 40 time, but he does play fast. I'm curious what his shuttle time is.
Raydar Jones ran a 4.0 shuttle which is elite. He could be the next Mo Claiborne, QB turned elite CB. He has all the tools to be great.
Ricks is already recruiting for LSU and is pushing for the #1 QB for 2020, DJ Uiagalelei. Having west coast connections is starting to pay off. First Ika, now Ricks and 2020 could have a serious west coast flavor.

His video on 247 is phenomenal. I'm completely blown away. He fell down on one play, got up and got the interception. On another he got the interception, stood there for a few seconds then took it to the house.
I find it hard to believe that he's a 4.6 guy. If he is he more than makes up for it with quickness and instincts.

Because aranda still did a good job.
In regulation we have a top 10 scoring defense
In regulation we have a scoring offense in the 70s.
Sorry but 7 OTs seem to benefit the offenses more than the defenses when it comes to PPG.
And yeah that was without Chiasson, Fehoko, Fulton, Joseph and Battle.
The defense replaced 2/3 DL
3/4 LB
And 2/4 of our top CBS.
And was still significantly better than the offense.

Live up to who's hype? Your hype?
The defense was objectively good this season. They carried the team. If they were as bad as the offense we would've had 4-5 wins.
That said, I've criticized Aranda this season when he's deserved it. You thinking he deserves anywhere near as much criticism as the offensive side is laughable.
