i don't think 9-3 is a good year. it would be OK if we creamed a good opponent in a bowl game i guess. the thing about it is even if we go 9-3 we could be a better team than any friggin' 10-2 teams out there with our schedule.

Les Miles and the rest of the staff are getting paid to be alot more than 9-3 which would probably be #3 in the west. Just the way it is. LSU is paying top dollar for a top product. BCS bowls should be the norm not chick-fil-a bowls.

Never understood this. There is 120 teams in football. All want to win obviously and there is about 30-50 that do the exact same thing you're saying. Everyone from Oklahoma state to Miami is expecting the same thing and has put in the resources and money.

Only one team can win it all, only one team can win the sec. You think Florida, Georgia, auburn, aTm, Tennessee, Alabama don't feel the same way?

No. Frankly anything less than double digits is a disappointment, IMO.

Yea I think 9-3 is a good year all things considered.10-2 very impressive with the toughest schedule in college football.11-1 and the tigers have to be considered the best program in the nation, even if the University of Alahama run the table.

I agree with this. With all of the success this team has enjoyed since 2003, it's hard to settle for anything less than 11 wins, even 13 wins can be very painful as we all know. i can only speak for myself, but I am totally spoiled by our success, and I expect it every year. That being said, I would accept 9-3, and look at it as a rebuilding season, as far as the defense is concerned anyway. To be 9-3 with a promising future, as opposed to a dwindling future, is easier to accept.

Yep. You can be disappointed and still be realistic. None us is want LSU to lose. So when that happens, we are disappointed. Nothing wrong with that as long as you have realistic expectations.

More about the fricking schedule.

How long has Miles been here? Everything SHOULD be in place by now. 9-3 is totally unacceptable for this program at this point in time.

Don't care who we play. Beat who we play.

Don't care how many we lost on defense. If recruiting is up to snuff, then just re-load.

We have a senior QB and a new Saban like OC that knows what he's doing.

Frick that 9-3 BS and all those MA's that think it's fine and acceptable.

9-3 is a good year. With LSU's schedule this year, 9-3 is where most of the experts think they will end up. And those that pick LSU to go undefeated are seeing the world through P&G glasses. LSU has not gone undefeated in the modern era. I do believe LSU has enough talent to beat everyone on their schedule, however I don't think it is realistic.

If we win the bowl game and make it to 10 wins, that's a good but not great year. It would mean we beat at least 1 of the elite SEC teams and a quality bowl opponent. It would be enough to sustain the momentum our program has, which is what you want if you don't win a championship.

I'm expecting a typical Les Miles 10-2 regular season, though.

I'm not going anywhere, do u actually watch football? Losing what we lost on defense & schedule, we have to be realist! I am a Tiger & have been all my life. I went to LSU & had family play there, but u need to wake up & smell the roses

Pussy. A "great" year doesn't happen without lifting the natty and quit with the schedule bullshite. We put em down in 11'(except for 1/9) and we will again this year.

I tend to agree but its football. Bama and UGA will be very tough games to win.We play in the best conference in the country and every game is tough[see AU] last year. I can accept 9-3 with this schedule, 8-4 would disappoint me though.

If you consider it strictly on record, I would say it would be a good year for us considering the schedule.

For me there are additional factors that might dictate how I judge a season beyond just the record.

For example I didn't consider the 9-3 in 2009 to be a good season as we just seemed to sputter and get by much of the year, never really hitting on all cylinders. Just never seemed quite in sync, though the record for some was enough to declare it an acceptable season on the whole.

I'm thinking if we lose to TCU, then we lose to BAMA, UGA, TAMU, and Ole Miss
But if we beat TCU going to Pasadena
