Do you even follow the football program?

I thought the same thing, but didn't want to hear about Bo Pelini (which, as I recall, wasn't Miles' first choice). Sadly, some people (read: a lot) on this board believe this.

Recruiting is the life blood of college football. Texas, California, and Florida produce the most talent in the county.

After Dale Royal retired in 1976, Texas had to wait over 20 years for Mack Brown to produce another elite recruiting program at Texas.

Mack Brown is not considered a great football coach, but he is a great recruiter, and that is what elite teams need--great talent.

John McKay produced the golden age of USC football with great recruiting--four N.C.

Bear Bryant understood how important great talent was. He wanted to recruit black players to Bama, but was not allowed to before 1970.

On September 12, 1970, USC opened the season visiting the University of Alabama under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and became the first fully integrated team to play in the state of Alabama.

The game, scheduled by Bryant, resulted in a dominating 42-21 win by the Trojans. All six touchdowns scored by USC team were by African-American players.

That game is recognized as hastening the racial integration of football at Alabama and in the South. Bear Bryant's genius was in recruiting.

Bobby Bowden built Florida St. into an elite recrutiing program, but poor recruiting has been his down fall.

USC was irrelvant for almost 20 years until Pete Carroll rebuilt their recruiting program.

LSU was never an elite recruiting program until Saban came and turned Louisiana High School Football into LSU's feeder program.

Nebraska lost its elite recruiting program after Tom Osborne retired. Pelini is rebuilding their recruting program, but it will take a long time to get back to elite status.

RANTards should not rock the boat of LSU's golden age of football.

Yes, it is outside of the realm of possibility and has never happened to any program in the past. You would think LSU fans would have as good a perspective on this as anyone - not that LSU has been elite prior to the 00s, but that LSU's program went from very solid to bottom of the barrel in just a handful of seasons less than two decades ago.

But call me names if it makes you feel better.

CORRECT. BUT ONLY if you can coach them to where they need to be.

All you've done is call people names in every post. Not having a response equates to 2nd grade intellect name-calling. That's what half of these threads are about - negatiger, negamiles, positiger, simple child-like attempts at misdirection.

Miles can't manage his staff, has very limited in-game management skills, has no personal specialty whether offense or defense to fall back on, has lost 8 SEC games the last 2 seasons and is 14-10 in the SEC after going 13-3 his first two seasons (LSU was also 13-3 the two seasons prior to Miles), has losing records against Meyer, Saban, Richt and Nutt (when Nutt was coaching 2 different teams), and has only gone undefeated one time in November and December games whereas LSU had gone undefeated three times in the five seasons prior to Miles in November/December games.

LSU is a half yard, bullshite penalty and missed OT FG from being 2-6 in the SEC this season. Just because he's gotten to load up on weakass OOC opponents and barely beat them (Wash, ULL, La Tach) doesn't mean crap as far the the direction of of the program. LSU was 16-4 SEC under Miles halfway after taking over the program that was built for him. Since then, in the last half of Miles tenure, LSU is 11-9 SEC.

You're absolutely right. My bad, recruiting is much more relevant to the success of a college football program and their coach than wins and losses.

Where are Miles' record geeks when you dig deeper?

Did you notice Saban did not come back to college football and try to duplicate what he did at a school that had never had an elite recruiting program.

Did you notice that Urban Meyer turned down N.D. for Florida. Recruiting at Florida is a lot easier than in Indiana.

Having a coach with a BCS Championship on his resume is very big in recruiting.

Negatigers are so clueless they not only expect, but demand Miles to win the SEC with a redshirt freshman in Lee and a virtual redshirt freshman in Jefferson--very dumb indeed.

More negatiger crap. If, could be, should be are all excuses you have to come up with to support your pile of crap you are trying to sell here.

Your type can be found everywhere on the internet. A mouse in real life but a lion on the sports boards.

You couldn't carry Les Miles' jock strap and you know it. That's what really eats at your types. It's all about envy, jealousu, and your little man complex

You have 67 posts on this site, and I bet all 67 are nothing but mind numbing insults and rants about other posters. Anything positive you negatiger?

What have you contributed? Nothing but insults. You conveniently ignored 90% of my post to focus on my take of what could have been a 2-6 SEC record this season. Fine, then ignore that part and concentrate on the rest. It includes Miles Nov/Dec record, his record against the upper tier coaches in the SEC, and LSU's record during the first and second half of his tenure here.

Your type can be found everywhere on the internet.
Yours is much more common. The internet has provided a voice for those that really have nothing to say nor a way to substantiate their views.

This is both inaccurate and another lame attempt at misdirection.

As is this.

And this. Every sentence you type makes you look exactly as you are attempting to portray me. You are weak minded and have no idea how to think for yourself.

I have enjoyed LSU's football success as much as and probably more than many. I attended LSU from 1989 to 1994 and know first hand a stadium at half capacity upon kickoff. LSU football has become elite and as an alumnus, season ticket holder and TAF donator, I prefer it to stay there.
