There was a guy standing underneath the foul pole(like up against it) looking directly up it that immediately motioned foul.
In case yall were wondering. I’m pretty confident it was foul.

Two reasonably high def cameras at the top/edge of the roof fixed to point straight down each of the lines would seem to be a worthwhile investment. Wouldn't need to be manned. Just get them adjusted once and add them to the feed. Wouldn't get a lot of use but would be super valuable in those small handful of instances where a straight down the line shot is needed.

I mean, there was a chode standing under the foul pole who broadcasted to 10,000 people in the replay that the ball was foul...fricker should be banned from the campus

I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I kinda like human error in baseball.
It makes it feel more genuine to me.

I will never, ever understand why we don't have cameras set up at every important angle. Every single year we sit here listening to people telling us "sorry, we just don't have an angle to see it", and I shake my head wondering how that can possibly still be the case.
"Gee, I wish we could do something, but we just haven't figured out how to solve the world's greatest mysteries. If only we knew how to somehow see an angle where human eyes aren't located, we'd gladly solve this mind melting problem"... Says some guy while miraculously having a conversation on a tiny device with someone else who's 3,000 miles away. If only we knew how to solve problems.

I tried to get a photo of that arse my tv replay but couldn’t get my phone out in time. What the hell was he doing? Like he was so emphatic and proud.

ou can have pylon cams in football, you can have foul pole cams in baseball
Aren't those provided by the broadcast company? Why would the School install those?
I guess you could Petition ESPN+ to install those cameras to go along with the other two they use for college baseball broadcasts.
I doubt they would be willing to do that though.

Been saying this for years! Not hard to do. I’m also for electronic balls and strikes, but baseball’s a traditionalist, stubborn sport. Tennis added electronic line calling and nobody bitches about line calls anymore.
I just don't understand the argument against electronic strike calls. Yesterday, their catcher was jerking the mitt close to a foot to "frame" strikes and he was getting the calls. Coastal's "amazing" catcher last year did the same. That just isn't supposed to be effective at high levels of baseball.
As a freshman catcher in high school, my coach made fun of me for trying that.

I thinknit was Eads who posted a video of his angle from the press box and i looked pretty foul.
And it landed pretty far to the right of the pole on that building but it did look fair on TV
