I haven’t seen anyone give O credit for sticking to his discipline for Herron ( we all know this is why he isn’t playing) when he damn sure could have used him the last 2 games. O put his long term credibility as a coach who enforced rules over the short term panic of fair weather fans screaming for his head. Got to respect that.

I agree..only Aranda can save us from Coach O...as he just did against Florida

It's not like he had a choice. Compliance dept enforces these rules, not the coach.

It comes down to Etling seeing the field and making good passes to the WRs

If Gus thinks he can exploit the middle of the LSU DL running the ball like MSU and Troy did then he will. The LBs are going to have to plug the gaps.

This. Bo Bahnsen needs to tap the brakes, especially on weed issues. Bo, it's 2017. Tim Williams never passed a drug test during his entire stay at Tuscaloosa.

It doesn't matter what Aranda calls, if our offense can't get first downs it'll wear down our Defense. Aranda is golden when our O gives time for the D to rest. When our D is gassed, you'll start seeing missed tackles, no pass rush. People never talk about this but I think it plays a huge factor esp the 3 and outs.

Sure gotta treat him different than Franks. IF we give Stidham all day to throw the ball on 3d down, he will kill us. Pressure his arse and knock him around. Hopefully a healthy DL, and paging Arden Key, paging Arden Key, will give him fits all day!

Hopefully we do not respect the QB run, because Stidham is not a threat todo much damage in that role.

Copy Clemson’s game plan on D not rocket science - Cheetah package unleashed get after QB (he doesn’t like getting hit and is slow) LSU gets little to know rush out of its D Line thus Aranda has to get creative. Last point I’d really be concerned about match ups with Battle find another safety

I fear our defense will come to play but will tire out after our offense can’t move the ball.
Auburn is legit this year.

Aside from the lack of D line depth, which should be better with the return of a couple of key players, the big difference this year is the loss of having at least one great shutdown corner (TWhite) and a super safety (Adams) wreaking havok for run support and deep coverage. How many times have we seen our defense give up 1st downs on 3rd and long by having a CB out of position in the flats or down the sideline? Its the #1 reason for the 2nd half gassing issue - that along with some stupid and sometimes questionable penalties.

I think Battle and Donnie Alexander should both be benched. They were atrocious on Saturday.

Gang tackling is a thing of the pass with the Tigers! In past years they would have 6 players in on the tackle.
Posted on 10/9/17 at 9:25 am to siliconvalleytiger
Sure gets old to always put so much pressure on the defense. I just pray that we can one day have a top 50 QB, that could make a play to win a game if needed.
Posted on 10/9/17 at 9:29 am to Drizzt
Yeah... I'm going to go with O had ZERO choice in that decision.

We need the old Aranda back. The one where he doesn't drop Key or Chaisson into coverage a third of the time, and only rushes 3 DT's. He needs to get back to being creative and rotating players who need to be rotated (DL), and not rotate those who don't (White)
