I think Miles did and thats all that matters. His recruitment of Fournette was spectacular. He doesnt get enough credit locking down Leonard for us to have all this fun talking about Leonard.

But he sure is something, aint he?

Im not going to call anyone an idiot for that. My main point is, he may be better than Jeremy Hill by the end of the year, but im not going to judge it off of these 3 games

Word. Word.

I had hope he would be outstanding but I don't think anyone could have envisioned the dominance that he is showing.

Miles?!?! Okay, but as I said five years ago:
quote:

[Fournette]'s very, very young.

He's very, very good.

LSU is very, very lucky that Wilson has such a very, very tight relationship with Johnson.
I made the post during my "very" period.

I didn't. Not against SEC defenses based on last year. His improvement from last year to this year has been incredible. He's hitting the seams much faster with better vision. He's dragging piles 4 to 7 yards sometimes. One on one in an open field against a DB is just incredible to watch. His cuts are much quicker. If LSU had a legit passing game, oh my.

Buga was not only the best running back in the nation out of high school, but the best player in the nation by many sources. With his size and speed and after watching the ability he demonstrated last season, I don't understand how anyone didn't see this coming.

So you thought 3 games into 2015 he would be compared to the all time greats....based on how he looked last season?

I get that but I think most people were shocked he would be this good this fast. His first few games last year were not altogether spectacular. He ran tentatively at times, had a hard time finding the hole, and didn't display the breakaway speed we've seen so far.
He looks like a totally different player now. The transition has been nothing short of amazing.

I thought it was possible, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. It has only been three games.

I wanted to believe, but I didn't want to set myself up for that kind of disappointment. I was going to be totally content if he could play on Jeremy Hill's level.

However I also wasn't one of the many idiots who wrote him off halfway through his freshman season

He's more than delivered so far

Yes, I did. I thought he would be this good for years.

I started posting about him on the Recruiting Board when he was a freshman at St. Aug. I was not alone, but there weren't many of us.

So, yeah, I started thinking years ago that he would be this good.

He's coming into the 4th game of his sophomore year. No one saw this coming to this extent....not even Miles in all likelihood. But of course you did....makes perfect sense.

Miles compared some of the things he does to the sports equivalent of what Michael Jordan did in basketball and Tiger Woods in golf. How do you not remember this?

Anybody who wasn't scared to admit, me being one and you can check my post history, knew that he'd be this good. Not this early mind you, but I'm pretty sure some thought he would. I've been saying he would be doing this stuff as a junior, but it came a year earlier.

As I said, if you don't believe me, look for my posts on the SECrant and Tigerrant, and possibly even the recruiting board.

I thought we'd see these types of highlight reel plays next season when he is a JR. The fact that he's doing this well right now is eye-opening

This right here.

Although true and a good call by you, it was MILES, that closed the deal. Who hired Wilson? Miles made sacrifices and took risk with recruiting Leonard that he hasn't ever done before or since. I think Miles knew. Looking back , Leonard made the correct decision for himself after everything MILES/Wilson did to land hiIm. What program out there would Leonard rather be? He and LSU are a perfect match. Miles just continues to get it done and all of us are enjoying watching History and this tremendous athlete. I would be sick to my stomach if he was steam rolling SEC defenses wearing any other color.

I didn't anticipate him being better than Hill.
Sometimes you are happy to be wrong while still enjoying former Tigers' success in the NFL.

Guilty.

I heard about it...just didn't see it on the field last year. This year is a completely different story.
