Agree! I'm enjoying this big time!! I feel very blessed right now.

What was he the last three years?
That was clearly a doppleganger, completely different person that looked like Miles.
We should worry about what he did with the real Les Miles.

How insecure are you?
Im not the one trying to demean a better record over that span
Seems to me the insecurity is coming from the other side of the aisle.

At least 16 starters from saban on team

It's as if you didn't read the OP.
We wouldn't even be talking about this if it weren't for him.

Orgeron still gets credit for winning those games.

Well you've got to admit the "riverboat gambler" did seem to take the last train to the coast.

I think we are gonna find out a lot about Coach O in 2019, earl. A bit disappointing in 2017, I think much better in 2018 with a good season and hopefully we see continued improvement in 2019.
2017 was disappointing. But last season was pretty good.
Here's to major improvements in 2019.

Coach 'O' inherited a team that was one step away from a dumpster fire.
He inherited a team that started top 5 in preseason polls.
He inherited a roster that has every single person that gets paid to evaluate talent says lsu is one of the top 7 most talented teams in cfb.
He inherited a roster that had the 2nd most nfl draft picks in his 1st year.

Don’t even try to compare the roster miles inherited to the one O inherited. Saban’s roster was loaded.
You bet. That 13 player, 14th ranked 2005 class that Saban left Miles was awesome.

But...but...Miles only recruited skill positions. The lines were neglected. DUMPSTER FIRE! TOTAL REBUILD!

Well, we weren't 106th in passing this year.
Yeah we just had our worst run game this century.
And lets not forget how we got those passing yards.....
We threw 13/17 TDS vs 4 teams.
That’s 4 TD in 9 other games
We thre 45% of our yards in 4 games
Stop acting like our passing game was anything but average.
Youre fine having a shite offense as long as we pass more.

I agree Roger. This is a stupid thread and Bayou Tiga shouldn't have started it.

So loaded that Saban,Jimbo and Muschamp lost 3 games in 2004.

Do you apply this logic to Saban's 2001 sec title too?

But Orgeron has done markedly better over he same 35 game span than Miles.
Both averaging 3.5 losses a year and both had shite offenses.
Yeah the program is infinitely better

Mil s was a damn good coach the first three years
If you erased 2005-2011 His win% from 2012- the day he was fired is good enough for 3rd alltime at lsu.

Right?
Miles left more nfl draft pick olinemen than Clemson has had since 2008.
O's 2017 team had 52 4 and 5 star players, had the 2nd most nfl draft picks, and had a total of 17 players drafted or signed as a free agent.
No one,and i mean no one, was calling lsu a rebuild until o's 1st 4 games of 2017. O publicly stated that the 2017 team was a playoff team.

Absolutely no difference stat wise.

Except passing yards...yeah...
2015 Offensive Stats:
Rushing Offense - Ranked #7 in the nation
Passing Offense - Ranked 106th in the nation
Total Offense - Ranked 39th in the nation
Scoring Offense - Ranked #43 in the nation
2018 Offense Stats:
Rushing Offense - Ranked #59 in the nation
Passing Offense - Ranked #67 in the nation
Total Offense - Ranked #69 in the nation
Scoring Offense - Ranked #38 in the nation which includes a 7 overtime game where the offense scored 41 points in overtime
Looks like a wash to me Roger.
2018 finishes the season ranked 39 spots ahead of the 2015 offense in passing.
2015 finishes the season ranked 52 spots ahead of the 2018 offense in rushing.
2015 finishes the season 30 spots ahead of 2018 in total offense.
Scoring offense is damn near identical, and that's with 2018 having a 7ot game to boost their numbers.
You traded a better passing game for a poorer rushing game.
Big deal.
