We can all criticize CBK on a lot of things. But one thing he did repeatedly better than any other human being I have ever seen was throwing up the backward ‘L’ This is only necessary when you are taking a picture with somebody, but happen to be standing on the wrong side of them.
There have been threads on here that have pinpointed the original ‘L’ hand gesture to a picture of an LSU track team in the 70’s or 80’s. But Booger McFarland really was the one that is credited with making it a part of popular culture that is now recognized around the world.
